Sack him Now

That's the clubs fault, not JT's.

They should have learned after Sheens to place KPI's.

Agreed… There is no way in hell I would offer a fixed long term contract without progressive KPI's reviewed every 6 months.

May be the reason why our ex-CEO resigned from his job in such haste. Just a few months after negotiating Taylor's contract he could see he would be in deep trouble.

A coach should be improving his teams play. Taylor has not and week after week we see Taylor not improve his teams performances and under Taylor we see the same problems week after week. Simple balls coughed up, penalties in the play the ball late incount back three dropping kicks, set plays just having terrible timing, the list goes on. I could live with it if there was a light at the end of the tunnel but there isnt, under Taylor I see no end
So yes sack him he obviosly cant communicate, has a game plan that is unfathomable, runs his interchange like its a coin toss. He keeps on telling us we are getting better but theres nothing to back it up. Best hope is to get him on mad monday celebrations, Im sure that after a few with his affable personality someone will want to belt him ala souths. Give us an excuse to sack him.

So we're on track for our first ever wooden spoon, and people think it's unreasonable to be angry at the coach? Please

Well according to some this won't be Taylor's wooden spoon. It will be everyone elses. Past and present coaches, players, admin staff. Everyone but him basically.

Yep. Because we were really on our way to the spoon last season after some of the best wins this side has had in 5 yrs against Parra and the Dogs. He's just too stubborn to have taken anything anyone previously had built and ran with it. This is about him trying to put his own stamp on the side and he's failing massively. You could have at least understood if Potter went down this road, but even he had the brains to follow on with what Sheens had in place.

Sheens really was leading us down the gurgler in the end. With the exception of the roosters(like always)and Penrith(Without Simona injury I reckon we win) we have been competitive in every game this year where at some point in the game we looked like possible winners.I know the competition ladder isn't showing it at the moment but we will get better shortly.Especially when we have our two centres playing.Sim and Nof.

That's exactly what I said, this board is incompetent if they didn't have KPI' s in place.
Two more years of this and we won't have to worry about relocation.
We'll struggle to even to exist.

Apart from not having their finances, what would the top clubs do in our situation?

I think we all know the answer to that. Jason who?

was a solid performance, this forum cant see much more than the scoreboard.

however, our season is essentially over now i think. unless we go through some cowboys-esque run to the finals we wont be finishing in the 8.

we had a few games we could have turned it around, the souths game obviously a standout. even beating penrith and then the eels would have put us in outside chance to snag a finals berth.

but right now, we can aim to finish outside the bottom 4 realistically. it was a better performance this week compared to last however, a LOT better.

Yep… Allready thinking about end of season get-aways i'm sure.
Ahhhh, holidays in the sun. What a life they have. :sunglasses:

The malaise around my house atm is telling.

Wifey asked me this morning how the Tigers went on the weekend? I said "really? The Eels won comfortably"

She shrugged and said "even they beat us now?" My wifey is usually hanging out to watch our games or at least check the live score.

My eldest son is now much the same.

I wonder what it's like to support a team that is in the semi's most years? I suppose I'll never know

Good post. Just don't think that the haters will read it. It does not fit their agenda.

If you follow Jason Taylor's attitude you many not get these headaches. After each match this year he says things like" the team is getting better" or " the team didn't play that bad" - he is pain free.

Good post. Just don't think that the haters will read it. It does not fit their agenda.

The only people with agendas can be the Taylor supporters. Seriously why are you sticking up for the guy. He has been hopeless.

Yes when we get Simona and Nofo back and firing we will be a much better team. Add to that getting rid of Richards and hopefully buying a quality winger or centre will help us out heaps.

The point is though that Taylor's coaching has been terrible and his spin disrespectful to the fans.

I'm happy to support JT going forward and there are some signs he may improve. He has for instance:-

1\. Stopped the terrible Taylor ball tactics
2\. Moved Lawrence successfully to the backrow
3\. Moved Richards on

There is hope going forward however lets be honest and admit how bad Taylor has been. I have never seen a worse rookie coach. I'll be picked up here for stating that he isn't a rookie coach but I'm giving the guy a break.

The Taylor supporters should drop their agendas and start being honest about the guys performance this year.

@Cultured Bogan said:
Seriously, you don't think Stephen Kearney was better than JT?

I tell you what would be funny. A coach worse than our JT. I have never seen it. I should add that I'm only talking about Tigers coaches that I've seen. I don't watch other teams that much to judge.

I'm more than happy for the guy to stay though assuming that he has learnt a lot from his performance this year. I'd give him media management training as well though.

If he stays at this level though the club is gone for the next 2 years.

@TheBiggestTiger
Yeah Im sold. We stick with JT for three years, mistakes and all. #CoachTaylor Stay strong #Tigernation @WestsTigers twitter.com/tigernationnrl…

Think he copped a poisened chalice with easily the worst roster in the NRL…well under the salary cap and within that so much dead wood and promising juniors who arent ready.
Throw in a CEO who didnt perform, and a Board chosen for political correctness rather than relevance.
its a coaches nightmare. At least Toovey has talent to work with
If JT had his time again he may have thought twice about taking it on..but hes got 3 years to sort the mess out,and i have confidence he will

Well we keep hearing we are right on the cap so I guess they have front-loaded some contracts. Guessing they brought forward some of those heavily back- loaded contracts because other than our superstar juniors, we haven't bought anybody
