Sack Marshall

Would anyone consider Anthony “hook” Griffin? I don’t believe he is necessarily a head coach anymore does have a history of development. It could be argued he was a key element to Penrith’s success. Think he could be a voice of reason to Benji as well
He'd have plenty of Years worth of experience to pass on to Benji and the players
He's very cool and calm in stressful situations

2024 is gone.
But before the season even started, on the back of successive wooden spoons, no one gave the Wests Tigers a show for 2024.
Enter Richo and Benji.
Fans wanted immediate turnaround.
Richo and Benji have a plan - that they say is being maintained going forward.
Fans unrest - green shoots are not enough for some.
Farah gone.
The player swamp is being drained.
New blood (albeit unknown - Richo says patience!) ???
What's coming?

Those green shoots you can see could be reeds which won’t bear fruit. 😆
We‘re placing all our faith in Richo and Benji, but are they the crucial decision makers? Who hired them? Who do they report to?
Do they report to 2 boards? Stapleton was retained on WT board because (as Andrecchio explained) he is a conduit to HBG. Why are the 3 remaining seats empty? More conduits on the way?

How so? Sheens was employed to make recommendations to the board, he recommended Maguire to be sacked. I don't see how anything I said is an each way bet.
I must have it wrong. I could swear I heard Sheens say..”All I said was.. I asked the board if they were going to give him an extension”
To which they replied “No” and it followed that Sheens was asked to sack him. Sheens later changed his story slightly by accepting responsibility for the dismissal. This led me to assume the board had told him to leave them out of any discussion surrounding the issue.
I guess that’s not the way it happened eh?
Can you provide any more insight into the issue?

Hook or Dean Pay.

Both don't threaten Benji's authority while adding years of experience of not just coaching, but development of junior players.

Hook isn't a 1st grade coach. But he's a fantastic assistant. Plus, there's a link to Bennett that might entice Benji.

I suspect this might be more accurate.

As per usual, Maguire is now being bemoaned for being let go & Sheens is Dr Evil for enforcing his way in.

Sheens had a job to do. He was doing that job. The board changed the state of play. Then the board changed the second state of play after putting Sheens in place as coach.

Sheens should still be Head of Football.

Yes, Sheens lied at first then changed

Agree . He takes the job and throws Kimmorley in the deep to do what?Sign Klemmer and Bateman? Should ‘ve jumped straight in and save the season then again he was way past it
Sheens was largely unemployed at the time. He should have stepped in as interim coach but he threw kimmorley under the bus

Correct. Sheens held down both jobs and expected to return to his head of football role once Benji was full bottle.

Would like to ask a question mate

What do you think of Brian Smith to bounce ideas off for Benji and to work with junior players

He had success every where he has been very technical coach Gordon Tallis said the other week he's the best coach he has played under and Smith is a very different set of eyes give him a 6 month contract I think he would be great to work with juniors because he is very big on hard work and self-discipline

I personally wouldn't. Too much noise comes with Smith in regards to playing head games with people. Been out of the game a long time

And you know this how?

"I have had a good look at things over the past week and a half and where we were halfway through the season. Everyone loved to call it a review etc etc.....in the past 8 months (since I got here), things haven't improved, so in real terms my recommendation was....".

Direct qoute from Sheens.

Sheens recommended the demise of Maguire, he states it himself. Not to mention countless other interviews where he referenced fitting a square peg into a round hole when talking about Madge.

Its not worth getting into though as I actually think that was one good thing Sheens did, Madge had to go. However what Sheens did after that decision is horrendous.

I am far less concerned about Stapleton than i am over Dennis and Julie as he at least played the game at a reasonable level but would still prefer none of them there. All of them were on the board that was sacked and as far i am concerned have done little to nothing to justify them being reappointed.
