Sack Marshall

What makes you think another coach would get better results when hardly any clubs would sign majority of our players in our top 30? Another coach wouldn’t get this squad finals bound.
Thats looking too far ahead at this stage.
What we need is someone to mentor and teah or talented young players what to do when and wht to do when things get tough
Benji cant do that

I agree on that but not sure who would be the ideal candidate to do that for us.

For all the fans wanting Marshall sacked....think about this:,

1) We have a Head Coach who is 100% passionate and committed to the WT..its been a while since we had that.
2) Kevvie last year was being heralded as a great coach, given the Broncos dramatic slide this year, given their glamour roster, should Kevvie now be sacked?
3) The Broncos defence in 2025 is a shadow of what it was in 2024....why?.
4) The Dogs had the worst defence in 2024, in 2025 they have the second best...why?...when Ciraldo said early in the year "we have done nothing different to last year"....

The facts are the players, much moreso than the coach determine how good or bad their defence is and the ultimate outcome of the match..

In 2025 the WT "Senior players" in Bateman, ICE, Klemmer and Sefano have not led the way as their salaries suggest they should have....Bateman is too light for the NRL; Klemmer is to scared to charge into the line like he used to; ICE was never committed to being here in the first place and Stefano has had his mind on being elsewhere this year....Like the Dogs have, we need to recruite players who WANT to be a WT and give their all on the training paddock and on the field EVERY week...Sacking Marshall is NOT the solution...Clearing the decks of underperforming players and recruiting players who are prepared to put in 100% is the answer
Think about this:
1/
You conveniently forgot to mention players like Bula,L. Lauiliili, Galvin, Pole, Fainu x 3, De Silva etc etc...who will continue to develop them, show them whats what, pass on their experince and knowledge of what to do in certain situatioins.

2/ Theres no one available, theres a few posts on here showing just what is available for next year - cupboards bare man

I think a Nathan Brown or the like as an assistant could do well. He was in a similar predicament at Newcastle with all kids after Wayne and Tinkler screwed the joint and developed some very good players

We had the right guy. But we sacked him because the fossil we brought back from England got power hungry, then he put a succession plan into motion to give the job to his apprentice who has paid no dues, which has set us back at least 2 or 3 years. How has that guy that we punted to give the old fossil another shot at glory only to fail miserably been going lately? And what’s his name again? It’s easy to forget these things.

Yes but only the thickest amongst us didn’t see this coming.
We have to dig in and back him. We can’t keep sacking coaches.
Yep that's a fair point. I guess my reasons are mainly that I can't see him developing into a coach that puts us in a better position let alone being in the top 8, and winning the premiership. His lack of criticism of players is really bad. You can't improve with that attitude, and players will either listen to that rubbish or not listen and create factions. Neither of which are good

Prehaps based on what you have said above, Nathan Brown might be a good option as a coaching director. A sounding board for Benji to bounce off re blooding the juniors in the club whilst also putting him in a position to put together the best systems throughout the senior grades and pathways to get the same playing structures needed throughout.
I’m not sure of his resume as an assistant but basically Browny does a fair job of rebuilding squads is my point.

I think Sheens wanted it from the get go. IMO he totally screwed us more then any previous coach.
Agree . He takes the job and throws Kimmorley in the deep to do what?Sign Klemmer and Bateman? Should ‘ve jumped straight in and save the season then again he was way past it

Yep. The worst thing was not giving the interim job to Gardiner. He knew how respected he was by the players and didn't want him to come in and do well so he gave it to Kimmorley and removed Gardiner from the club completely. Real dog moves by Sheens

Maguire bought Gardiner over yet he got accused of surrounding himself with assistant coaches that he knew couldn't take the job off him because he was paranoid or whatever those who wanted him sacked. came up with . It's the same old same old just the names have changed.

I think there is a veil of secrecy surrounding how this club operates. For example I see a lot of posters accusing Tim Sheens of sacking Maguire. Sheens was following orders from the board.
I and others have been banging on about this for a few years now. The real problem is the decision makers who refuse to accept responsibility for their decisions, and are quite happy for others to take the heat.

It's just fan speculation clouded by our own bias. The only thing we can ever be right about
Is whoever has been brought in to try and turn things around to date have all failed both on and off the field and we all pick and choose who we want to make excuses for, and who we feel is most guilty.

Lol yea ok.

Sheens was following orders from the board after Sheens recommended to the board Maguire gets sacked. It was Sheens who sacked him
