Sack Marshall

Isn't the basic issue that WT have no player / players that can really score points to win. As others gave said, we generally need something like 24 points a game ie 4 converted tries, to be in with a good shot at winning. At moment we generally average 2 tries per game. Get a couple of reliable point scorers in the team and I think we are back to being realistically competitive.
Yep. Brisbane without Walsh and with a nuffie halfback look like us. A game breaker or two is crucial.

if there’s no try?
Huh? 🤔

Are 9 straight losses important...or could the same objective be realised with less losses?

Ultimately, there is only one goal.
The saying doesn’t apply if you don’t learn something from your losses.
I can’t agree with the one goal idea.
If you have a goal there must be any number of subsidiary goals that get you closer to that priority goal. Wouldn’t you think?

There is absolutely no doubt that lacking any match winning, try scoring type players like most other teams have is hurting our chances of notching up more wins. Take out those players from the top teams and most times they struggle even with quality subs. Not only do we not have the elite guys in the first place, but when we suffer injuries or suspensions our subs are kids.

Last year the Dogs were behind the Tigers, then they bought Crichton. On top of some already astute purchases, it changed everything.
also with the exception of Kikau and fox they have remained injury free and had a consistent line up

lacking a lot of patience, doesn’t matter what coach really comes here as we still have the worst squad in the competition.
As I’ve send before in the other chat rooms this is our injury/suspension list:
Bateman
Da Silva
Doueihi
Faagutu
L. Fainu
Sa. Fainu
Si. Fainu
Feledy
Galvin
Klemmer
Koroisau
L. Laulilii
Mason
Matamua
Naden
Olam
Papali'i
Porter
Saukuru
Sezer
Simpkin
Sukkar
To'a
Tupou
Twal
Willett

I would also like to add we have the youngest NRL squad in the comp and youngest NSW Cup squad in the comp.

Then I’d say your knowledge of NRL rosters/teams needs some work. To add to this, all the bookmakers had us running last, which is based on complex analytics based mainly around the roster. The current management aren’t incompetent, so they won’t just blame the head coach like the last mob.
Yeah, the bookies generally don't get it wrong when they frame a market.

I’d say today’s game against an opponent who are also struggling with results and injuries will be vitally important for the team’s mindset for the remainder of the season.

half our team are just happy, and probably a little scared, to be in FG.

Expectations should be low.

Anyone expecting us to go well this year was backing a major upset, that’s all I’m saying. No other coach would want this squad in the NRL. The kids need time.
Yes they do, but the team is not totally made up of kids. I realise there have been injuries and suspensions to deal with but the kids play alongside players like Api, Klemmer, Bateman, Papalii, Sezer, Naden, Olam, Twal and Staines. There is more than enough experience there for the team to be playing a whole lot better than they are.

Problem is that there has been very few games that all the guys you mention have actually been on the paddock at the same time for any continuous stretch. Our on field performances have been directly related to the team we have been able to field in the most part.

How many losses does it take?
What do you think the goal of every NRL team is?

Anyway, right now I'm...
CELEBRATING A WIN 🥳🎉🥂
