The player contracts were taken up by other clubs who honored them. The players weren't shafted to janitor in hope they'd ask to leave and not being paid a cent when they do. Those players who could not find a club to honor their contract were retained.

Sheens has been bluffing the management from day 1 ..contract extensions ect. If the statement was made that he would stand down from his contract if the club didn't make the finals and the right people were in attendance well see you in court . I think he deserves a payout but these threats about dragging the club into court go right ahead pal!!!

All this talk about coach Sheens saying he'd stand down if the side didn't make the semis … Now, my addled grey matter (50 shades of) is a wholly unreliable source when it comes to matters of factual accuracy, chronological exactness etc ... But I could swear that comment was made during 2011 ... And I also seem to recall we did make the semis that year.
Happy to be corrected on this ... As stated, the memory is a little on the dodgy side.

Think you might be right there Snodgrass. I reckon that is what he would argue anyway.

But if he really was stupid enough to say it about this year then he should be man enough to walk.

Actually I believe some of the players were. Told that in fact they won't get much game time as an incentive to move on.
