The issue isn't whether or not Maguire was the best coach possible. Maguire was a good enough coach but the club didn't have the balls to go the distance with him. That is Wests Tigers problem, they cant stick to a plan. This leaves the players in no-man's land and just makes the club look like indecisive imbeciles. As i've said before, good luck attracting a worthy coach now.

I was against sacking Madge, and kimmorley's selections and in game adjustments have been terrible, but the success of this decision has nothing to do with results this year. It makes for a very frustrating and unpleasant season, but Sheens did this to enable recruitment and direction for next year.

My opinion remains that Madge was entitled to coach next season with a quality hooker and a great defensive second rower joining the club. I am frustrated the club didn't see that through. But I hope to be proven wrong by the long term success the next coach will hopefully bring.

The only problem is, they can have the spotlight shone on them, but they’re not really accountable to anyone. I’m not sure how much influence Harry has, but the club seem pretty desperate to receive his yearly contributions. Maybe he can step in and voice his opinion.. Surely he would also be far from impressed

Was a fantastic move sacking Madge. No interim coach of any note, no new coached shortlisted and ready to sign after the axe dropped. Total kneejerk reaction based on the Chairman's comments on SEN and the lack of action since Madge's sacking.
