Salary Cap Concession's

Can anyone explain the current slary cap concession policy for long serving players? Is the club allowed to spend and extra $200k per player that has been with us for 10 years?

If so we should have a large amount of free space opening up in the next few years with players like Robbie, Benji, Bryce, Liam and Heighno hitting 10 years of service.

As it stands BB you can claim for 2 players 100k in total….there was a problem with Gibbo n Farah last year cant remember Chief Muppets Gallop exact reasoning but we couldn't claim it....something to do with NYC not existing or some rubbish...so StateCup contacts from 2002 didnt count for continuos service...

The big concessions come from 3rd party sponsors who do NOT sponsor a Club directly....they can pay individual players any amount and it isn't included in the Salary Cap.......

As usual NRL hierachy says one thing as does another . Keep talking about making allowances for home grown talent and then does not count the years of service of the junior talent Can't wait for independant commission to take over . But then again we have been hearing about that for 18 months and still seems no closer Heard Gallop on FS say that they were selecting panellist at the moment . I think a few people on this Forum would make interesting panelists with their interesting views on the game
