Its still only hearsay but I keep hearing his coming to the Tigers 😛ray:

My mail is from the same guy who told me about Morris, collis, arana and mitch all before official announcement so there must be some hope.

Who's that Tim Sheens

He said hope, not dope, but we can live in hope for a lttle while longer.

So I wonder if he wants to go to a club where his coach punches his player in the gut and in return gets knocked out with a punch to the face

It seems strange to me - we must have some money available after recent offloaded players _ Sheens says he will buy a marquee player each year - The Lote T rubbish is done and dusted - Tuiamarvave??? was up for grabs and we don't even say boo - so far none of our signings are remotely marquee or expensive i would expect - originally i thought Sheens would pull a rabbit out of his hat and sign a top 1/2 ( Monaghan, Carney ) but i think we are better covered for halves than props- its just strange that things are so quiet on a big name signing.

so in other words you guys don't actually know what the players get…

i don't either, but i don't think many players in our squad get over 200k

Ellis, Farah, Heighington, Galloway, Marshall, Tuiaki, Morris are ALL over $200K per season.
**Lawrence is not far off the mark.**

 Not even close. Lawrence is on far more than that - and rightly so.

With the money players are on Galloway when he first sign with the Tigers he was on 240K a year and on his second contract it when up and i know that for a fact i know one of his best mates and he and and got a place a Kogarah to live …What scared me the most and this is true... is the huge huge money Halatau was on i am happy in a way he is gone now to the dogs he was on 290k a season he sign that contract after the great year he had in 2005 i think mid 2006 he sign it for 3 years on that money

Rusty was just talking it up.

My intuition tells me he will come to Wests. We must have a bit of cash after offloading Haletau, Collis and Morris.

Hoping and praying for a surpise announcement.

Sunday Tele quotes his manager saying that Burgess has not signed with anyone. He basically said Russell is FOS. His club will need compensation if he plays in the NRl in 2010, but is on the open market for 2011.

He is definitely up for grabs.

Found the article

RUSSELL CROWE usually gets what he wants, but that may not be the case when it comes to English sensation Sam Burgess.
>
South Sydney co-owner Crowe all but trumpeted the signing of Burgess, rated the best forward in the world by Bradford teammate Steve Menzies, during a recent sponsorship announcement.
>
Despite Burgess having a year remaining on his Bulls contract, Crowe declared: ''He has one green eye and one red eye already. He's very keen to join South Sydney.''
>
However, Crowe's comments came as a surprise to Burgess's manager, Chris Caisley, who stressed his client was still exploring all of his NRL options.
>
''That's probably, what's the word, an elaboration of where we are at,'' Caisley told The Sun-Herald.
>
''Sam hasn't agreed to any terms with anybody, but he has talked to a number of clubs. That's the position and it's common knowledge that Souths are one of them.
>
''As for the rest of it, it rests with the English club as to whether they will release him for next year.''
>
Complicating the issue for the Rabbitohs is the uncertainty over coach Jason Taylor's future. Taylor has until Tuesday to save his job but is expected to be sacked for his role in the infamous ''Sad Sunday'' debacle. The outcome will impact upon negotiations with Burgess.
>
''We'd have to view that,'' Caisley he said. ''It's obviously of importance, who's going to be coaching the players. It would have a bearing, no doubt. We're not far enough down the road [in negotiations] to be concerned about it.''
>
Burgess, contracted to Bradford until the end of 2010, aspires to test himself in the NRL. The Bulls may be prepared to release him early if an amicable arrangement - such as a player swap - can be negotiated.
>
''He'll definitely be coming over in 2011,'' Caisley said. ''If a club wants him before they'll have to come to an arrangement with Bradford. They have not indicated they have no wish to let him go - other than for significant compensation - at this stage.''

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Who could we give them…...Gibbs, Payten or Payne instantly come to mind.....I reckon all three would be a good swap for Burgess

I would be happy to give them Payten and Payne and we might just have change left over to purchase a young prop also if needed.

realistically if we were to sign him for next season we would more than likely have to give them galloway.
