A coach that uses 2 forwards on the bench but has 2 young props has no clue. Why wouldn't you use Moors. You goose.
Why wouldn't you use a specialist hooker.
You have faith in Humble? He's not ready.
Groat is not ready for 1st grade either. He can't tackle.
Bottom line. Instead of building from last year, we'll be rebuilding from next year.
Hope things improve.

I honestly can't see things improving, we've been down this road before and any changes that get made aren't, what many would consider, the right ones.

Sheens needs to take responsibility for this. Miller wasn't bad but he wasn't good. Why didn't we have a hooker ? Why have two backs on the bench when we were getting flogged in the forwards ? Why not ensure that Moltzen and Lawrence run the ball in space a lot more ?

I seen it coming all along. Tonight proves to me how important Robbie is to the side and that Sheens is suffering from oldtimers disease.

We are terrible. There is kids in the U20's side who are busting their guts to get into the 1st grade team, who would put up more of a fight than some of these players. IMO the only players so far who can hold their heads up high are Ryan, Woods and Ellis

so we get 39% possession…. 48 miss tackles and a get a canning in the penaltys....do you think that may of been our problem...lawrence said after the game they didn't follow the game plan

tigers4ever..

we got 39% possession because we have not been respecting the ball
we missed 48 tackles because our structure and attitude is gone
we got canned in the penalties because we were very ill disciplined
we didnt follow the game plan because we hardly ever do.

I dont blame Sheens, this is squarely on every players head except Ellis and Ryan.

How can you sympathize for that terrible performance? it was their own fault they let the Raiders roll on. Crap last week, even worse this week. Looks good doesn't it

How can you follow a game plan if you don't have depth on the bench. ANSWER Sheens hasn't got a game plan.

Hang on, hang on. I'm not defending Sheens, it was an embarrassing loss, but did they steamroll us down the middle like everyone was worried about? No, they ran us in circles down the wings. I'm not backing him, he's done a dodgy job so far, but we may or may not have been belted by forty without some extra pace on the bench. Fulton was never going to be able to play 80 minutes, so there needed to be someone to replace him. Miller is being eased into FG so he's not going to play the full eighty either. Who's going to replace him?

Just my opinion

I'd better change my name and move now

Our completions tonight were pretty good 23/ 29 that he'll of a lot better then the last few weeks. The refs didn't cost us the game but how many home teams loose the penalty count 9-3 (I believe)?? I'll guarantee we don't come to Canberra and get 9 penalties.

No, Sheens doesn't deserve any criticism at all for selecting 2 backs on the bench against 1 of the biggest forward packs in the comp that left our forwards out on their feet 10 mins into the second half. Nah he doesn't deserve any of it, its all on the players. Some people will just defend the man no matter what

I dont agree with a lot of that. Half the missed tackles came in about two Canberra movements when player after player was beaten, and the Tigers scrambled well enough to stop them scoring. I know they beat us often on the flanks but that in part reflects the coach's crazy game plan to accommodate an even more crazy team selection.

I thought we were hard done by in the penalties - in fact couple of crucial ones which led to Canberra tries were plainly not penalties.

Overall the team played with a lot of commitment - they could easily have succombed on a couple of Canberra movements but great last ditch defence defied the Raiders.

My take on tonight's game is that the coach bears a big part of the blame. What a ridiculous team was selected. There had to be at least one other forward on the bench. Miller is clearly not ready for first grade - not knocking the kid, he made a great try saving tackle, but his inexperience was evident and costly on a couple of other occasions. Groat is not a starting prop. Bell has been very good this year - why not start with him?

Next Sunday could get ugly.

I for one dont care if Sheens or someone else is coach to be honest. If the players dont follow the plan, as they have admitted, then why bag the coach?

For my money, Sheens is the best option until someone better comes along. I am yet to hear of a quality replacement?

Some people will just bag him no matter what. Some will love him no matter what.

Fact is, I saw less than half a team out there tonight having a go. I'm nt sure the coach shoulders all blame. Certainly some, but not all.

Before I bag them though, I ask myself how many first grade games did I play, or how many games have I coached or premierships won? I concede they know more than I ever will.

some people will stick the boot in no matter what…

do you think sheens doesn't know football a 1000 times more then we do...

Don't jump on the winning wagon later then

Pymblepete, there was not a lot of committment out there tonight. Players trying to tackle with their hands is not committment. Our scramble was good but it was needed due to rubbish defence.
