Thats good news

He'll still play league after he goes to Japan.
Most over-rated player in history - and a lousy boxer .
PS Agree with andrew 474 - grub.

How does that *Confirm* in Any way, shape or form that he won't be at the Roosters…
My reading has it the complete opposite!!

What a surprise - SBW goes with the biggest pay packet…
The man would play floorball in Mongolia if the coin was good enough...

Of course he would take the biggest pay packet, 90% of sportspeople do and rightly so. Why would he take less money playing the same sport?

Where in that article does it say he won't be going to the Roosters?

It states that he's going to Japan to play Rugby and will be available to come back to the NRL next year.

Said in his press conference that he's returning to the NRL to honour a 'handshake agreement' he had a few years ago with a club before he went back to NZ for the Super 15

If that was true the Japanese comp would be the best in the world and not a retirement home for old All Blacks and Wallabies. It's also the same reason why most soccer players play in big leagues and don't go to play in the Middle East or MLS. Most players want to earn good money but still test themselves.

He's taken the money to play in a sub standard competition. If that's what he wants, good luck to him but there were plenty of offers in more mainstream competitions. Me thinks Mundine and his cronies have been in his ear again.

And this is a bloke who walked out on a written contract!!! So you can trust him to honour a handshake agreement!!
