It will probably go like this

Gallop: Why did you guys ummmmm have SBW in your origin coverage
9 rep: we have the rugby world cup this year, we wanted to do some cross promotion
Gallop: ummmmm okay, no worries, feel free to use him for the grand final too if it's just cross promotion.

He was a great league player and now a great union player.

He spat in his own teammates faces and ran off for the money with his his matea Anthony and Khoder.
Now he is playing union AGAINST a QLD team - why would they have him as a guest in Brisbane?
He was overrated as a league player and is overrated as a union player and (God help us ) a boxer.
I watched the game at a pub and when he came on EVERYBODY , both NSW and QLD booed the bum.
With so many other players ,both current and from the past , to choose from why would they pick that clown?

dont think that is in dispute. its the way in which he went about it, you know, like a petulant, selfish child. mind you mundine and nasser got to him, he is obviously impressionable and with out knowing him probably naive. still, the way he went about taking up the offer was unprofessional and weak. like another poster said face up to your team mates, club, fans, press ect. and tell them you have a far better offer you cant refuse a la hunt, folau. no one denies him looking out for himself (tho that is also a personal choice, loyalty is long dead for most sportsmen these days) just dont run off and take pot shots from afar.

And unlike Sonny, you'd probably tell your employer that you were leaving, tell your friends you were leaving the country etc. It was a dog act what he did, regardless of his motives or commitments. As Folkes said at the time, if he said he was going for the money and let people know he was going people would have respected the decision a little more. He was merely a puppet to promote a Mundine fight.

seeing him being interviewed last night annoyed me so much!!! its our show piece event and here channel 9 is interviewing the face of rugby union 3 days before the super 15 final in which he will be playing in! plus hes the prck that walked out on league in that disgraceful fashion. channel 9 (especially the guys on the roast) give gallop a lot of crap but this time channel 9 should be roasted!!

174 penalties a game. Rememeber when England made the WC final and only scored one try in all the lead up matches? They have a serious, serious problem.

Love a game where final scorelines are 45 to 39 with no tries scored. Yuck :frowning:

Rugby consists of 2 team made up of 7 athletes called "backs" and 8 slobs called "forwards." the aim of the game is for your 8 forwards to stop their 7 backs getting the ball.

I know, MM. I have mates who like the rugger and try and put crap on me about the scrums. But you know what I've realised about rugby scrums?

For all the puffing and blowing and chest beating, 99.9% of the time the team who feeds it, wins it. Just like league. Difference is tho, that in our game the ball is in and out and play resumes. Doesn't take 5 minutes of boredom for the same result.

Just to add, i can remember during a press conference after the Sonny Bill thing where Folkes was asked a question by a reporter about something SB had said and Folkes replied by looking stone dead at the guy and said "well its all just piss and wind as far as im concerned" :laughing:

Honestly I'd rather the jokes scrum we have that's over and done with in 10 seconds, rather than the union "crouch, hold, touch, engage, get back up again, crouch, hold, touch, engage, penalty"
