if lui is leaving then i hope we sign prince for 2012

Prince at his best was a great player. I think his best is past him and I don't wont him back at our club.

If management has lost Lui a guy we found, developed and stood by I will be very dirty. Especially as good halfbacks a like gold in todays NRL, look at Sandow he is worth $500,000 plus a season. What will Lui be worth in the next few years?

For mine a sway for Lui for Pronce is a backwoods move.

im not saying i want lui to leave. im saying if he does leave us and prince is available then we should sign him if the price is right

The thing to remember is that with Lui in the team we have made it well into the finals and that isn't a coincidence.

you're right. it isnt a coincidence. john morris isnt in the halves anymore stuffing our attack up!

Only a fool would pick John Morris in the halves . . .

2007, 2008, 2009\. Wasted years.

He is by memory at about 40 first grade games now - his best years are to come and though I am a big Miller fan I think it will be a huge blow if we lose him.

Helmesy, you make a very good point on Lui.We would hate to lose Lui and see him turn into another Sandow.Arguably one of the best halfbacks in the game at the moment.

1/4 Chicken, word on the street is that you are not the REAL _1/4 Chicken & Chips_ as seen on _Talkin Sport . . ._

Is this correct?

Leave him where he is. The RAT jumped chasing money and a free house. We don't need him. If we did sign him it would be a backward step.

I can not believe the positive talk on Lui, what a welcomed relief. Keep up the good work Robbie. Go Tigers!

Prince's best years are definitely behind him. He has been low on confidence for a while now. He had his ups and downs even when he was with the Tigers during his peak, but he served us well during the 2005 finals and I'd prefer to keep that positive memory.

Scott Prince sold his soul in 2006 after everything this club did to help resurrect his career, karma always bites those people like Scott Prince. He can stay up there in his beloved Queensland.

Yes, John Morris unfortunately did not become the next Cooper Cronk…!

Hmm I disagree thy prince is washed up.

I do think that

1.he is heavily dependent on having good players around him

2\. If he was in a winning team ( as he was last year) he would be viewed as a very dangerous and valuable player.

3\. To wish he stayed with WTs for 2006 is not to say that he would be good to have in 2012.

4\. I am really enjoying the fact the WT are developing our own players now . I look forward to seeing miller , begovich, korbeite** and Sironen come through the ranks in years to come .

Im glad we had him in 2005 and he helped us win the comp. But IMO I dont want him playing for us in the future we have youngsters coming through and we have Marshall!

I wouldn't let Prince return on principal. Grateful for him in 05 but wasn't impressed with his form once he made the decision to move to the Titans.

Id like to know what Benji thought about a Prince return.Together they are a pretty good combination.

I think Benji would be more interested in the future not the past.

I agree with everyone here, Prince is past it and signing him would be a step backwards for the tigers, even if it was on the cheap, which it wouldn't be.

But I don't really understand all the animosity towards him. He won us a premiership, then decided that he wanted to move back home to Queensland to be closer to his family. Is that so bad? Yes, we ressurected his career, but I still can't blame him for leaving, and I was very sad to see him go. The John Morris debacle only compounded that.

It's a while ago now so my memory is a bit hazy, but I don't remember his form dropping off that much either. In fact at the back end of 2006, with a host of injuries and no Benji, he was carrying the team.

Scotty Prince will always have a special place for me. The 2005 premiership was his for mine. Of course it was a team effort, and Benji provided the spark, and robbie and hodgo lots of options, but Prince was the general and the main reason we won it, and for that reason he remains my favourite player not wearing a tigers jersey.

The Benji/Prince combo was right up there with the best halves combo I have ever seen. Langer and Walters, Daley and Stuart… there has been none better than Prince and Benji. If they'd had a few more years together who knows what might have happened.

AGREE.

Was absolutely gutted when he went to GC. IMO - we never recovered. Watching him now, even though he is not quite as good always makes me jealous.

Like many others I dont see the need for Prince in 2012 and beyond Lui can do everything that Prince can do and has younger legs and we have a willing rookie in young Miller. As for putting the knife into Prince for chasing the sun and dollar a few year back, thats crazy, he did what he thought was best for him and has every right to do so

I think many "smart" half backs have modelled their game on Scotty Prince….Lui has many characteristics that Price has....good kicking game, and good passing game putting players into gaps...It;s clear Lui has studied Prince's game....I hope Lui stays with us...he showed last year this time he has the goods, and he has been in good form the last 4 weeks...I hope he stays with the Tigers as we have shown him alot of support.
