Meaney is playing Union in Italy.
Shame…. I can't see Rowe filling the Gap that he left anytime soon!!

Never understood the Meaney love. Seemed like a top bloke but whenever I watched State Cup, admittedly quite rarely, he was dreadful.

His performance in the GF loss to Newtown was very poor.

Dont like criticising him because, as stated above, he seemed like a champion of a bloke. I have just never seen anything that makes him remotely close to a first grader.

Theres about three of them I think….ones gone to another club.

At first they were calling the main one ''Matty Utai"....but then I think they found out correct pronunciation is like "Matta Teea" or something.

Had me baffled last year first time I heard his name called...2GB doing the state cup semis I think

Yeah was surprised by this too Demps

He especially mentioned about Meaney and Reddy also being leaders at the club and let them go I understand we have limited resources but we kept some I just scrateched my head at

There are different areas of the club that need leadership…

If you think Meaney was bad, You're gonna love watching Kurtis!!

I dont disagree with the leadership issue. I defended Meaney in the past against some pretty gutless attacks on here.

That being said, from I have seen from Rowe he seems to have a lot of potential to be a game breaker. I accept he has a few mistakes in him but its not like Meaney didnt make quite a few errors - at least in the games I saw he was error prone.

Well for one I'd rather of kept Reddy over Moltzen

Really? Both are mediocre but at least Moltzen has the potential to be a better player long term. Although he certainly hasnt lived up to his potential.

I couldnt have stood another year of Reddy making shocking decisions in defence ala John Carlaw, John Morris.

Reddy has a pulse, therefore a heart. I would take a player that gives it his all even though it is proven to be barely enough, than a player that that has had the opportunities yet has no idea how capable he really is. Moltzen has been plagued by injury, an excuse, but also a detracting factor. Tin has coasted, Reddy is a goer.

reddy was a far better defender than moltzen, with respect to their positions.

Not sure I agree. Reddy was a good one on one defender but his decision making in a broken line was dreadful.

Moltzen made some sensational try saving tackles over the years.
