To all the people complaining about no Sunday games at Leichardt I think you need to aim your blame at someone else , namely the club itself

The clubs have some imput into the draws and if the club had said "We want a couple of Sunday home games for Leichardt" we would of probably got it

And seeing the club has not reacted in any way (don't worry they would of got the draw prior to today) they must be happy with the draw

If not it seems the club is all bluster about change If they aren't happy they need to stand up and say something

They probably do have some input, but Raiders only got 1 FTA game for the first 20 round, so the value the NRL puts on club requests must be very limited.

Well in Canberra's case that is understandable They don't draw FTA audiences so they don't get FTA games

We are a different kettle of fish LaT

Probably a bit of a Catch 22 situation for the Raiders Happy, they can't get FTA audiences if they don't ever get allocated any FTA games. Feel sorry for a few of the teams in the NRL, they hardly ever get any national telly exposure for their fans and sponsors…all the while the Broncos get everything laid out for them on a platter.
The NRL is far from an even and fair competition IMO. It is pretty obvious to figure out there are some teams the NRL will aim to please at any cost and there are some that they don't give a rat's arse about.

Dont get too worked up about the obvious unfairness of the draw - and I am not referring just to any disadvantage to the Tigers.

With State of Origin a bunch of teams miss their best players for three rounds a year and have those players back up a few days later in three other rounds. The draw is a lesser objection. Overall its just a complete farce.

Would have liked to have seen the draw before we brought season tickets coming from Newcastle and finally getting off weekend roster to arvo shift had my heart set on Sunday games at leichardt, not to mention first game of year at newy on a Monday night the place will be packed , spewin big time

I don't disagree that Fade to Black that the draw is unbalanced and hardly fair

But when Channel 9 is getting the numbers it does with the Broncos audience on a Friday you can't blame them for giving them those options

If Cowboys or the Titans wanted Friday games they would get them , but they don't

This problem would of been solved if we had chosen Channel 7 or 10 option with 4 live FTA games every weekend

Blame the ARLC for shooting the game and its fans in the foot again (As usual :brick: )

Without seeing the actual requests, the amount we get and what ones are priority….we can only speculate.

The club, the fans, the NRL win on Sunday games at LO...as does channel nine
Nine wins with Fri games
Nine make the decisions

Common denominator

I wonder if this was some of the changes from the initial draw due last week??

We can ask for Sundays but when you look at the rounds we draw Friday nights for a good reason in that we are a popular viewers option.

We might be a popular viewers choice for Fridays Smeg , but we seem to lose a fair few of them also

I wonder what our most successful day \ night actually is ??

We've never been beaten on a Tuesday arvo …

Mind you in the pre JV days I can remember the Magpies losing a playoff for fifth against Parra on a Tuesday arvo ... And then the EELs beat Balmain two days later on Thursday arvo before knocking off the Dogs on the Saturday (1975 ... strange days indeed).

Humpty should move the Eels game to SFS. Then allocate the Souths/Easts game to the Old Girl in hope that one of those games is allocated as a Sunday.

Nothing to lose and will keep the 5000 'faithful' that only attend LO on a sunny Sunday in Humptys back pocket until then…

Round one Anasta possibly re-acquaints himself with David Fa'alogo

As frustrating as it maybe, and as easy as it maybe to point the finger, we need to realise that $1b will always rule the roost…

While Channel Nine pay the bills, we have to learn to accept somethings!

Im just glad we play the donkeys in Brisbane. Finally I can take my kids to see the Tigers play live. Monday sucks but we'll take it.

No Broncos on Good Friday like the last few years. I thought the NRL/Ch 9 had stamped that down as a regular thing. Instead we play Manly at Brooky on Easter Thursday so for all those with little kids, there's no school the next day!

Like others, I'm hugely disappointed about Brisbane and Melbourne games being on Mondays. I usually go to interstate games but Monday makes it tricky

EDIT: We play in Melbourne the week after Easter and in Brisbane the Monday after the Queen's Birthday public holiday. Bugger, just missed out on both!

you can whinge all you like , but if we we were not playing home games in the centre of Sydney and stuck to our proper home grounds of CTown and Leichhardt it would be all good.

Playing home games at the SFS is a joke ..oh yes but we need the money..bah..

One positive of the draw is that all games (except Broncos in Suncorp) from Round 6 to 20 are in Sydney.

TV deal lets Broncos trample the cap

THE salary cap was designed to keep the NRL premiership on a level playing field.

It's almost a waste of time because the TV deal gives the Broncos such a massive advantage. Don't worry about the benefit of having a full week to prepare for each Friday night game, the real advantage comes off the field.

The Broncos already have a huge edge by being a one-team, one-town club.

Just about every big business gets behind them, while the nine Sydney clubs are cannibalising each other in the one market.

The Channel 9 exposure almost every week makes it so much easier for the Broncos' sales team. Certainly a lot easier than the Canberra Raiders, who get one free-to-air game in the first 20 rounds.

The Broncos get millions extra in sponsorship on the jersey, the sleeve and the shorts, and hundreds of thousands more than rival clubs in ground advertising.

It allows them to use the money to get a huge edge in sports science. It allows them to have a bigger and better coaching staff. It makes it easier for their players to get third-party deals.

It allows them to put in place the best recruitment program and to offer more to attract members.

Hopefully, our new leader David Smith will do something about it.

Rothfield is a dead set goose but he's on the money here.

Too many Sydney teams. Rationalisation of the competition required.

I agree Gary, but I just can't see it happening any time soon.
