When they rang me up this year and asked me if i was going to renew ? i told them exactly what had to be said and let me tell you it wasn't good for the receiver .
I said to the guy you call me up the same time every year asking for money…..basically that's what your doing ( paying for Memberships ) , i told him people pay to get Entertained and if you feel like the Club isn't heading in that direction with the cheap budgeted signings we made ? why bother.
It's a massive commitment to give up your Family time every Weekend to see what ? a continued diabolical team selection with undeserved players continually picked every week.....Nah have better things to do the Beach is 5 minutes away.
When the Club gets there act together ? they have my money .
Just curious FT,
I know you said you didn't take up the membership renewal and that you have better things to do with your time than watch this mob, but was wondering if you do still attend any games.
As per your question jc…...I live on the Gold Coast and still attend 3 to 4 games per year alot more than hobbo does and he lives in Sydney  , his not the President of the Bandwagoners for no reason
When i mean't giving up Family time that's exactly what you do when you commit to a Season Ticket and that's what i was going to get , even if i can only get to 6-8 games + with flights it's alot of money to commit when you don't believe the direction the Club is going.......that's what i was meaning .
It's terrible having a Season Ticket and by mid year your down the bottom of the Ladder and you have to go to the games cause your committed for the year .
All good FT,
Didn't realise you lived on the Gold Coast so fair enough. I just thought you spent a lot of time on the forum and from reading your post, had too much passion not to attend games.
I go though the exact same thought process as you every year but ultimately go back to renewing my membership as I attend too many games not to take the cheaper option.
I don't really put too much thought into whether my membership helps the club out or not, although I wish our membership numbers were higher, but as I said earlier I will be attending games regardless as I enjoy the atmosphere and more importantly think the team needs our support.
I know most of my workmates think I'm an idiot for going to so many games when we lose but I've been doing it for so long now I just can't help myself, Its all part of be a Wests Tiger supporter I guess
