A 24 year old from the Norths Club Seti Tafua unfortunately has been very seriously injured on the weekend, he is paralysed and is likely to be wheelchair bound for the remainder of his life.
There is a already a few events and is likely to be more in the near future to raise money to look after him and his family. Face book has established a page "Seti Tafua stay strong" and this saturday the Norths vs Easts game at wollahara oval will be a fund raiser.
Anyway, any support would be great.

A mate of mine plays in the same comp this poor bloke played in, apparently they cancelled the following weeks game or something like that out of respect for him. May have misheard some of the info (was on loudspeaker at work, when I got the call), but it was something along those lines which I thought was a top gesture and wish him all the best with the injury.

Seti Tafua - City 2 Surf Fundraiser
Hello,
Seti Tafua is a team mate and a good friend of mine from Northern Suburbs Rugby Club. Seti was injured in a game on Saturday 23rd June 2012 which saw him dislocate and fracture his C5 and C6 vertebrae causing him to have no movement from the waist down. It was a freak occurrence which has changed his life forever. As a rugby club and as mates we are trying to raise as much money as possible to support Seti and his family who have flown from overseas to be by his side.
I am running in the City 2 Surf this year as part of “Team Tafua” to support and raise as much money as I can for the Tafua family. Donations can be made via online banking with details as follows:-
Acc Name: Seti Tafua
Account: 138 711 833
BSB: 082 401
When you make a donation please write in “City 2 Surf – Name - Email” so we can send out a thank you response and calculate how much was raised through the city 2 surf run.
We appreciate donations of any amount and thank you in advance for your support. If you have Facebook there is a “like” page for Seti (left), which if it gets enough “likes” Facebook will become financial due to the popularity. So get clicking and wish me luck over the 14km run.
Kind regards
