My understanding is that our agreement with current grounds ends in 2022 and the new SFS is ready for the 2022 GF is it will mean we can start the 2023 season there. In any case our contract is with the NSW government and the government is about to create a new super entity to control all government owned stadiums so moving contracts around will be easier

Our contract is with Vnues NSW.

At this stage I prefer just to stay home and watch games on tv ...
Once we make the finals I’m more than happy to jump on the bandwagon and attend a game live and I couldn’t care where it’s played .

I think you can be central. In Melbourne it works well with the various suburban club supporters coming into the CBD for games. Maybe Sydney is a but different because the CBD isn’t I’m the heart of the city but it’s all about cost/benefit.

Big difference between the two is that Melbourne's layout & infrastructure planners used their brain power. Sydney's planners were obviously drunk at the time.

There was no planning for Sydney, it developed in an adhoc fashion which is why it is all over the place.

agree we do cleaning for government spot on with the government superentity it will make it easy to jump from bankwest to anz to sfs it will all be the one bucket

Great post. I think the boys mentioned a similar argument in the most recent Wests tigers podcast. Adding to the benefits you listed, we currently see a lot of our junior talent from Campbelltown lured to the Roosters due to the bright lights of the city and the “Bondi scene”. If our home matches are based in the city it gives us some of that glamour club attraction, which, combine with the COE, could help us to maintain our talented Campbeltown juniors.

Sydney just grew, as convicts were brought to the city. There were no plans. it was built around Circular Quay and the Tank Stream.

Melbourne was at least 50 years latter to start organising the settlement there.

Very different start to the two cities.

Same could be said of us.

Yes I listened to the podcast and the mention of moving to the SFS and it just made a lot of sense. That got me thinking and inspired the post.

Central station is 45min by train from Hornsby or Parramatta. With the new M8 I would think it’s only 45min from Campbelltown too by car so that pretty much captures Sydney

I reckon the majority of supporters share that view.

Sounds logical to me. We really need one home ground. Most people prefer to watch at home anyway, so it is important that those who do attend can create the best atmosphere possible for the boys.

I was disgusted at the disrespect shown by Parramatta when they promoted our home game as if it were theirs. We need out of Wankbest.

How did they do that?

I think the next move is 12 home grounds

Even go as far as switch grounds mid game if the one we are playing on isn't working

One for every team we play?

Bloody good for nothing convicts lol

I was more referring to later on when the major stadiums were built. And the lack of foresight with location and infrastructure that would make it convenient for the larger population
