OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Wests got the job done over in NZ, winning 42 to 10 this morning. There is now a scheduled week off over Easter and they will play in an elimination final the weekend after. Our only HM or SG Ball team to make it to the finals.
Good to see the boys get up and hopefully see them progress further. I was trying to keep up with the scores on NSWRL app but as usual it sucked lol

I had family attend the boys game yesterday in NZ and one of the things they said was our boys were firing on all cylinders. Started from kickoff when the warriors kicked off to Faagutu and he set the tone for the rest of our forwards. Apparently the warriors forwards really wanted nothing to do with Laulilii and Faagutu running at them all game which opened up for our backs who delivered. Good time for our boys to be firing leading into finals

Looking at the ladder, we finished fifth
So I’m thinking we play Parra in a knockout semi 🤔
I think we do with the knights playing roosters but looking at the eels run it seems like they had it a bit easier than our boys bar the top two teams which are their two losses and we beat one of the top two in the Panthers.

For those who watch a lot of Wests SG Ball what are your thoughts on Galvin, what do you think his best position is and what do you think are his chances of making a rapid progression through the grades.
I’ve watched him a couple of times via the NSWRL website and for me he looks like a natural footballer who has the quality to make a rapid rise through the grades, but I doubt it will be as a 5/8, to me he looks like he could transition into a classic modern day 13 in the Isaah Yeo mould.

He'd have to put on 15kgs at least to try and play lock. He's a beanpole at the moment which is why he'd stay in the halves until he baulks up. Centre more likely than back row in the short term too.
