OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Magpies SG Ball team badly lacking size and direction, they play so slowly it is giving no chance for Makasini to show his real quality.
In saying that I have been highly impressed with all Makasini’s touches, he’s the real deal we have nothing to worry about.
Winger Dupond made a nice clean line break out of nothing and looks a lively type of player, he could be one to watch.
Also the big number 17 runs the ball very strongly.

Right on half time Balmain score in the corner, missed the conversion half time score Balmain winning 16-10.
Any stand outs Glenji95 ?
I was switching between both games, but was mainly watching Magpies game as wanting to watch Makasini closely.

Balmain in to start the second half. Scored from dummy half with a huge gap in their defensive line. Winning 22-10.

Balmain got sloppy again and the Dragons scored again to make it 32-26. However, the time was really against them and just wasn’t enough time to make a comeback win so Balmain once again got the win in SG to start the season 2-0 but they made it real difficult for them to get that win in the end.

I doubt any team letting in 26 points per game is going to have a great season even though it would be extremely demanding in the heat of summer

The heat might’ve got to them a bit in the end or they got sloppy since they were ahead by 22 points at one point. But overall they still were the better side. I don’t know if they will play finals but at least they are doing better than last season when they didn’t win a single game.
