have seen this guys name thrown around in other threads as a possible recruit. If true i think it wouldn't be a bad signing on the back of Blair. He could cover for the loss of Gibbs.Gibbs and Fifita for Blair and Shackelton perhaps?

I seem to remember he went really well for the Roosters and was seen as a key signing for the Eels. Then I think he was injured in his first game, or at least early last season and missed the full reason and some of this. I thought he was agreat player but hasn't been lucky with injury last two seasons. Runs hard at least.

its like cuthbertson for the dragons.

On the surface, the signing sucks.

But a _MOTIVATED_ Shackleton, with a slight drop in weight, may be a great budget buy.

Pretty solid.Represented City this yr which wasn't a bad achievment considering he missed all of last yr with a severe knee injury.Wouldn't call the guy a superstar but he's a solid first grader with a decent workrate,so he'd be a pretty good replacement for Gibbs IMO

Agreed, he showed glimpses of strong running in his days at the Roosters, and city rep this year, but a bit of an injury machine over the past 2 years

Sounds promising, but should we gamble on signing an injury prone player? The last thing we need is another forward sitting on the sidelines for half the year.

so far this yr i don't think he's missed a game.1 or 2 at most,so if he can get through this yr maybe that would put the 'injury prone' talk to bed

Yeah, let's hope so, but I'm jumping the gun - he actually has to sign with us yet lol

shakceltons actually a very handy first grader, however im pretty certain he went to the eels on decent money. id have a crack at him

I could be wrong- but wouldn't this make the Tigers starting props both Ginger Ninja's?

Has that ever happened before?

Should we ask Aaron Woods to dye his hair red too?

we just let gibbsy go and people want shackleton….to play him at prop ? i agree the place needs a cleanout but replacing a player with another who isnt in the same class is just a waste of time .. adam cuthberson was always a talent ,, he just needed the right coach to nurture the talent he had ...he dropped a heap of weight and is now playing to the potential he had as a junior ....shackleton missed an entire season with a leg injury and isnt close to the player he was at the roosters .. he is just an honest first grader and will never be a champion .....and to read the rhino is being offered around .....makes me laugh all the bs i read.....

'he is just an honest first grader and never will be a champion': sounds like a pretty good description of Bryce Gibbs. So i guess its just a straight swap then.At least Shackelton doesn't give away dumb penalties
