A lot of people are really over the top on this subject. There is no harm in trialling someone, does not cost a cent.

Complaints about how much we will be paying him ring out all over the land. How much has Moltzen cost the club over the past three years?

I believe that we are going to be paying him for this year as well!!!

He has as much chance as making first grade as me.

This is why the NRL needs to have something similar to the amnesty clause like in the NBA where you can eliminate bad player contracts without the player's consent - just a straight cut, no payouts or anything. I think you can do one per season.

10 years after the grand final win, Pat Richards is back at the Tigers and the player who was going to replace him if he couldn't play that night is now likely to be back at the club also. There can't be another club in the NRL that brings past players back like the Tigers can.

Over the years Parra have the title hands down.

Sadly I don't think many people would have witnessed the trials and tribulations of Shannon Briggs.

McDonnell has his grubby hands on all the recruitment at Wests Tigers.
Last year Mayer and McDonnell did all the recruiting. It's been well documented Potter had no involvement.

The penny now drops why he was so keen to force Tedesco to leave last year.

What Juniors has recruited ?
The Balmain and Wests Juniors recruited themselves.
Are you talking about Kurtis Rowe ? Matt Groat ? or maybe his biggest recruit yet..the great Billy Kitt who was on a scholarship since age 14 had all his schooling paid for and ended up a big fat zero.

Tedesco was staying, leaving and then staying again in the space of 6 months. In that 6 Months McDonnell was still signed to Hull (But not getting a run), Then Signed to St. Helens and busting his hump for a new contract there up until late last year.
It (Obvious to all... But you) didn't work our for him.
(After all, I'm sure he'd leave big money in the ESL to come back here and train all pre season for no money in hope of a contract?)
If he was coming back here all along, Why didn't he do it when we had ZERO outside backs?
People would actually be interested in what you have to say if you were a bot cleverer about how and when you stick the boot into Mayer and McDonnell.. Instead of going in with a Horizontal, double footed, flying snap kick - Straight to the Neck....

You are forgetting Goose was the one who said Malone wouldn't get a full time contract.

McDonnell will never find a Thurston because he doesn't recruit like a Peter O'Sullivan or a Peter Mulholland

No knock on those blokes or Mcdonnell, they serve the club as best they can and in the case of most of these they were involved in the glory of 2005.

People who has proven in the past to be duds or are way past their used by date come back in and we expect this club to get out of its constant mediocrity some seem to accept/cherish.

Thats why people get annoyed I think.

Eddie it has been the same for years, we have been trying to find a bag of gold in the garbage bin!!!! It did not work ten years ago and will not work in 2015.

Okay its only a preseason contract and their is nothing to loose, but to me it is a total waste of time and sends out a bad message to all the kids who are also trying to crack a gig with the Tigers. I just wonder when this club will ever learn
