any one know the crowd figure for the sharks game? doesnt look too big, cant seem to finid it online. thanks in advance.,

I was surprised they got that many to be honest.
Really in this day and age, a crowd like that with discounted tickets is not good enough, do the fans really want their club to survive???

I would not be happy if I was the NRL to see a crowd like that.

The Titans are an absolute rabble this year and the Sharks have been one for 3\. The crowd was always going to suck, who would want to watch them play.

I'm sure everyone in Perth working towards the WA Reds bid would love their hard work to be rewarded with someone else's mess. I'm sure the fans in Perth will be thrilled to receive someone else's mess, and I'm sure the Sharks fans will be thrilled they only have to travel across the country to see their team play.

 i agree. id be funny to see them relocated over there. it would also give central coast bears a better shot of getting in which i wouldnt mind seeing

also…
Western Australia's bid for an NRL side would be open to the prospect of a current club relocating to Perth - an idea being promoted by Fox Sports commentator Gorden Tallis. Tallis believes one of Sydney's eight NRL clubs - with his suggestion being Cronulla Sharks - should shift to Perth instead of the league risking financial pain by expanding the competition to 18 teams in 2013.

A decision on possible expansion won't be made until the NRL's independent commission is formed later this year.

Western Australia Rugby League chief executive John Sackson said although his first preference was for a Perth team to gain entry on their own right, the prospect of a club relocating to Perth would still be welcomed.

"Overall we want NRL back in this town," Sackson said on Tuesday.

"We want an NRL team here representing the State of Western Australia.

"It's interesting what Gordie had to say about his belief in relocating.

"From our point of view in a perfect world we'd prefer to build a brand new franchise here from the ground up."

Tallis said the Sharks' financial struggles and the overcrowded market in Sydney made them the perfect club to move west.

"I think there's too many sides in Sydney," Tallis said.

"There are some great white (sharks) off the coast here (in WA) so I think it would be a perfect fit and they can call them the Perth Sharks.

"It's about growing the game and coming here (to Perth), it's a great market."

Perth is among the contenders to be granted entry into the NRL should the league decide to expand the competition in line with the start of the next TV rights deal in 2013.

Stating the obvious but getting any Sydney club to relocate will be near impossible, no one has mrushed to relocate to the central coast after the Northern Eagles mess and that's just up the road. Nevertheless, if Cronulla won't go maybe the Bulldogs should jump at the chance.

Could be wrong but I thought I saw the Bulldogs crowd figure come up as 8K.. a couple of Sydney teams _should_ relocate, won't happen though. We could definitely do without the Eels & Sharks in Sydney.

Getting rid of the Eels would possibly be the dumbest thing the NRL could do. You piss off their entire fan base, and with an AFL team entering the comp based in Blacktown where do you think they'll turn? Parra have the 4th most members of all Sydney clubs behind the Dogs, Dragons and Rabbitohs, I hate them with a passion but there's no reason to get rid of them.

As for the Dogs, they were drawing well over 20k at the start of this year and do have a large fan base. That game basically showed why they should play 3 or 4 games a year at Belmore Sports ground. The novelty of the ground will bring people in. Also the NRL need to take charge of scheduling, having 2 Friday night games in Sydney is ridiculous, especially when one is a big game like the Tigers/Dragons was.
