The Cronulla Sharks are confident they are salary compliant for 2018 and have released a statement saying they informed the NRL Integrity Unit earlier in the year of salary cap discrepancies relating to historical third-party player payments.

According to NRL sources a payment outside the salary cap has been confirmed from 2015 but is not significant enough to strip the Sharks of the 2016 premiership, their first in 50 years.

Greenturd should make an announcement so we all know what amount is acceptable to the NRL when cheating the salary cap.

I'm copying and pasting so many lines for this thread and sending them to my mates in the Shire.

On NRL360 Paul Kent said the investigation has been going for at least 3 mths. I don’t hold out any hope but … imagine if there are discrepancies where last year or the year before someone’s contract was massively front ended illegally - and they are playing this year on the smaller backend and that means this year they are compliant.

Tiny chance but this will be big regardless.

Apparently Buzz broke the story. Surely he’s only broken it because some other news outlet was aware and about to break it. At least he can massage the Shark’s message.
