Anybody watch the Bulldogs game tonight and see this kid?

20 year old second rower. Has only played 3 NRL games but he's 6'6", played the full 80, scored a try and made good metres every run.

He's also off contract at the end of this year!

This guy has that international quality look about him. Massive frame, good mobility and clever ball skills.

Been a very good year for rookies, a couple of real stand out types.

Shame they all play for other clubs TITG. Why is it other clubs can recognise talent except us? By that i mean those other rookies tend to make a great impact straight away and back it up in each and every game.
Apart from Teddy our "young talent" are so inconsistent and to be honest seem to be slow learners. :frowning:

I agree.

Be it the system they are in, or just big dollars to the right kids at the right age these types of solid as a rock future international rookies are not something we are good at producing.

We need the Liolevave's and the Funaki types to be handled just right if we are to have any chance.

In many ways our talent reminds me of the likes of Jacyn Sinclair and others around that period…tons of promise but very disappointing, in the end. I fear that the lack of real depth in our squad (and coaching/management/scout ability) is not only putting a lot of pressure on the kids but perhaps building up expectations that, let's face it, thus far have been based on flashes of brilliance more so than sustained talent...

Because they come in behind experienced campaigners that help them settle in

Here they are basically thrown to the wolves , because they have no one with experience to help them

No doubt that is Taylor's fault as well

He will be starting every game this year till next year when Willams is back he will struggle to start next year which could spell the end of his doggies career if Williams plays well next year
11\. Josh Jackson
12\. Willams/Lane
13\. Eastwood

Tony Williams is the dogs Adam Blair. Big money and rarely ever delivers. Expect the dogs to resign Lane and release Williams.

Should we consider Willams if so he gets released only 26 wont be asking so much after his stint with the dogs still very talented
11\. lawerence
12\. T rex
13\. Marty

Definitely not.

T. Williams could be anything if he aimed up…
Not sure our coach is the man to get the best out of him.
Maybe Melb or NQ

Dave Taylor fits that build as well , as does Jamaal Idris

Was listening to the ABC radio coverage before the Roosters v Titans and they were just amazed at Taylors skills pre game , raving about how he was kicking field goals from way out

He is the one guy if you could get 100 % from every week

Even Bennett told Tallis that they will be frustrated beyond belief by him when he joined Souths from the Broncos

So much talent , just not prepared to put in the hard work

I personally think that we have had that much cap trouble, the board in its forward thinking want to only develope the younger players before making any big signings of note…
Trouble is this could be to our detriment ...we need money, the most important thing of all..
As for Taylor,he has a Herculean job ahead of him to make this team an NRL force....albeit he can only do his best,if the players can't get it right,it certainly makes Taylor look bad...
If they players can't play to a gameplan for whatever reason, then maybe they really are out of their depth..

IMHO, many of our young players are already between the best at their position in NRL:
Tedesco, Nofoaluma, Simona, Woods, Taupau, with Sue, Seumanufagai and Lodge not far behind,

Go Tigers

We've already got plenty who put in an effort 2or 3 times a year. We don't want another one.
If Hasler couldn't even get some small amount of consistency out of him, what makes you thing Taylor would even get close
actually when you think about it, he'd probably fit in well with some of our blokes.

Firstly they put them in slower and put them in with reasonable players around them to help them.
Not drag them out of the sandpit and allow them to risk their future careers,
By throwing them in the deep end and hoping for a miracle

Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
