Pleasing to see our juniors recruitment looks to have improved.

Now we just need to practice the art of retention.

Interested to know why Panthers released him, which means he was contracted, we didn't outbid Panthers.

He got offered a first grade contract by us and wanted to leave. Hard to not let a young guy go have a greater chance at first grade somewhere else. They did want to keep him though

Was named in emerging blues squad in 2018. Only player named then that hadn't played NRL

He captain the NSW U18’s team which also included Tommy Talau, Jock Madden and Stefano Utoikamanu

Hopefully he's the goods. I'm liking our change in tact. I'd rather take a punt on some young talent then signing overrated has beens on huge $$, which has been specialty in the past.

Will round out our top 30 too

The Penrith Panthers have released exciting forward Shawn Blore from his contract six months early, the club announced.

The 19-year old old was offered a longer deal from a rival club, who has not yet been named.

Panthers executive general manager Matt Cameron confirmed his immediate departure via penrithpanthers.com.au.

“Shawn was offered a long-term contract by another NRL club and requested an immediate release to make the most of that opportunity,” Cameron said.

“Given the current circumstances, we believe it is in the best interests of all parties to grant that request and we wish Shawn all the best with his future endeavours.”

Blore was a member of the Panthers’ premiership-winning side in 2018 and missed all of last season with an ACL injury.

Most likely won't be seeing him play this year with lower grades cancelled

wonder if he walks into the starting side, also wondering what this means for Seyfarth.

What it means for Seyfarth is that he will have to lift his game.

You’re right but the fact he plays lock will put him closer to a debut than our other players. Currently ET and Lawrence are playing there so it’s probably our weakest position. One injury to either of them could open up a spot for Blore on the bench IF he’s impressing enough at training
