It was the best debut we've had since Benji. Off contract soon and other clubs will be circling. Extend him by early September at the latest, but start talks now

That is how the Broncos have got themselves into trouble paying overs on promise, there is no need to rush. If you sign a player at a lower value & then their form sees what they believe is a rise in value a player tends to leave chasing his new value nowadays so no point at this stage.

If we don’t wrap him up before November we don’t deserve to win anything. He’s a future star and should be extended as a matter of urgency.

While he did very well on his debut and looks like he will be quality I’m not sure if he will be a star yet.

I can’t wait to see him get a proper run without the team being dismantled by mid game injuries. I wanna see him running lines off Benji this week and showing all his skills not just his big tackles

Let him play a few more weeks before rushing into a new contract, Madge has held onto every young guy he wanted to that’s here so I’m sure he has a plan for him.

A little higher than what I had in mind.

He has had one game and ran around trying to give it to Nathan Brown which he succeeded in doing but needs to remain focused.
We all seem to bag SBW but he might come out and cream Blore or JWH might etc then where do we stand.
Lets see how he goes in the next few weeks he will be a target now so hopefully he doesnt get a big head and works on his game and provides a big asset in the run home for us

I remember Gus saying Blore's best asset was his hole running on the edges. Kind of in the Kikau mold.

If true then that would make him the whole package given his willingness in defense...

There's no need to rush today. There is a need to rush over the next few months. After half a dozen games we'll get a good idea of where he's at and suitable contract terms.

No one has suggested overpaying him ridiculous money - just extending his contract so we don't lose him from the club

Playing devils advocate here, what they did with David Fifita is exactly how they got themselves in trouble.
In my opinion they underpaid him to begin with and tried to lock him up long term on a low value contract.
Currently on 300k a year whilst in the meantime they forked out 600plus for the likes of Lodge and Pangai who were more proven yes but not displaying anywhere near the potential...

Yeah I’m hoping he gets a good crack at playing second row on Friday and can get some good ball in attacking areas. I wanna see his whole game not just his defence which looks very good.

I'm not sure how these things work but if Lucy and Garner play 80 minutes wouldn't that mean that Blore and McIntyre will be filling in in the middle ?

McIntyre and Mikaele would play in the middle I would think. Normally that last bench spot only has been playing 15-20 minutes at the back end of games and it’s been at lock but maybe they can give Blore a crack at second row if we are winning by a decent amount

I’d probably go to work shirtless everyday if I looked like that.

He's obviously in good nick but I'd look ace too if I was literally paid to work out. Not impressed by a ripped professional athlete. In fact I'm more impressed by the guys like George Rose and Piggy Riddell who can train at elite level and still be chubby.

But I'm paid to sit at a computer, hence why I get a little bit fatter every season.

Who do you think would be the worst rig to play in the modern NRL? Mark Riddell is a good start, Tui Lolohea would be pretty high on the list.

Remember John Simon

Some just have different body shapes. The “he doesn’t look fit” always amuses me. If he wasn’t fit, he wouldn’t be a professional athlete.

I went to wedding and Josh Starling was there,he told me Jake Trbojevic was the strongest and the fittest in the team.
Apparently they had some wrestling matches at a golf day and Jake rag dolled Marty Taupau.
