Shawn Blore #235

Disagree. He should get 1-2 games. From the Tigers not NRL. Need to be held to a higher standard.
I agree. I’ve done worse and so have plenty of others. But imagine if some knucklehead ran into him and someone died at the scene or whatever. Even if he was not at fault, he would have been at fault. It’s stupidity and yes we as a club need to hold these guys accountable. They wanna have a career in a profession that most would give a testy for and they go and do this shite. A 2 game ban seems reasonable, I hope the leadership group and the club tan his hide over it. How long have we been waiting for this kid to come good from bloody injuries too? We give him another year on promise alone and he says thanks and he wants to repay the club. Well this is not how you do it.

Sorry I went off a bit there, but I couldn’t be any more annoyed, I have high hopes for this young bloke.

Yeh exactly. The leadership group should stand him down. We have wanted leaders for years. This is where you start.

Not happy with his choice, but there is no way that I would even consider standing him down from any games, let alone two.

Possible suitable punishment further to that of the court, would be doing something educational in the area and/or some community work on the back of it.

Missing games instead of other punishments, or even dodging a fine like what's the Matterson, does the club, nor player any good.

Blore pleads guilty to driving on suspended license

Wests Tigers
Wed 25 Jan 2023, 03:38 PM

Wests Tigers player Shawn Blore, has pleaded guilty at Mt Druitt Local Court to a charge of driving on a suspended license.

Wests Tigers and the NRL were aware of the incident, which took place on December 12, when Shawn drove to training after being issued a suspension of licence by Revenue NSW.

As with any matter before the courts, Wests Tigers followed its protocol of not commenting until such time as the judicial process had been completed.

I don’t agree on being punished by the club. Aslong as he gets to training and games etc, I don’t believe it should have anything to do with his employment. Different if he requires a licence for his job. Stupid thing to do but I’m sure the legal system is capable of dealing with him just like the rest of us.

Sorry, but the NRL and the clubs should not get involved in off field incidents. No other professional sport does, for a reason,. This will come to a head one day, and the League will suffer.
The law punishes people who are proven guilty, the NRL is punishing people without due process.
It's like the Spanish Inquisition. It will come back and bite the game on the arse. By all means i agree with the club giving them a slap on the wrist. But the NRL and it's moral crusade, to attract more female fans is a farce.

The judge gave him a right royal dressing down as well .. !! Hard one to say what type of punishment the Tigers will serve the young fellow with .. ?? Miss the 2 trial games .. ?? 🤔 🤔

"A rugby league young gun has been warned by a Sydney magistrate he’s ‘no different’ from anyone else after he was busted driving to a training session on a suspended licence."

He drove on a suspended license.
Yes I dislike the 2 weeks, as we suffer as a club. But it's shawn Blore, he can spend a game or two on the sidelines...

What I hope is the club goes tough on him. You pull little stuff like this, that's how standards slip and big stuff happens. Support the bloke but make it clear Monkey Business can end the NRL gravy train.

Agree too, have him clean dunnies for a week to remind him what the real world is like.

A week or two on the sidelines is a punishment? That’s all Shawn Blore knows. Make him do something different like play some footy.
