Sheens and Potters teams

With the side going so well with all the new blokes playing, I was wondering what team Mr Sheens would have at this stage.

What do you think?

People will bag sheens and in some cases justifed. But the program for the juniors that we have now we can thank him for.

Potter maybe winning, but it's not cause he is a better coach

Is he that good that Sheens would name him twice? LOL.

If Sheens was still here, I'd suggest we would have a team like this:

1\. Tedesco
2\. Ryan
3\. Lawrence
4\. Thompson
5\. Richards
6\. Marshall
7\. Austin
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Fulton
12\. Blair
13\. Heighington

14\. Patterson
15\. BMM
16\. Rose
17\. Simona

if you are trying to insinuate that Potter has a better squad thus performing better, then by virtue Potter is a better coach because he has chosen a better squad to work with!

If Sheens was still in charge I doubt we would've seen Austin come to the club. Blake said a main reason he left Penrith was that he never was told what type of player they wanted him to be - a five eighth or backrow. They played him between the two, and as such, his weight and training fluctuated. Potter told him he would come here as a 6 - as such, he dropped 6kg in the off season, trained in the position, and has been killing it in NSW Cup, and brought that form into NRL.

Sheens would've used him as a 'utility', and we'd never see him killing it like he is now.

Austin's story is a great story… sad the facts of the situation where he wasn't wanted, they signed Jamie Soward & Peter Wallace and he was always only gona play State Cup.

He switched for an opportunity first and formost and wouldn't care how many positions he was forced to play to get a gig in the NRL.

Sheens was a ditory old fool of a coach. If he was still on charge our lineup would be wildly different and we would be 2/6 at best

Well perhaps Sheens should have been put in charge of Junior development.

Potter is a far superior coach in terms of selections and game plans.

Well he came here knowing Anasta would get first crack and he'd start the year in State Cup. Having players in set positions makes training so much easier. Whenever we run plays at training, they will run them with both first and second choice - Austin would know all our plays as well as Anasta, just like Rowe would with Tedesco and I'm sure Luani and Cherrington do with Farah. We saw this come to fruition last night - we had half our spine replaced but the transition was a whole lot smoother than we would've expected in seasons past.

For example with Beau Ryan switching between wing and fullback, he would've had to learn two roles at training. This position for position replacement makes life a whole lot easier.

What's that supposed to mean. I like Austin…

I agree… the switching of players for players is working well, but Sheens isn't the only Coach who would try and get the most out of his Top 18-20 Players.

The thing I'm liking most is how Potter is sending the boys down the park... Sheens kept on directing players across the ruck.

The benefits are there for all to see... Farah is a better player. Brooks is being allowed to learn his craft playing behind a pack that is making good meters. We now have impact off the bench where previously we would have players like Galea [converted to prop] simply getting us through.

I'm really enjoying our playing style under Potter… This is how I would structure my gameplan!

With Sheens we'd be trotting out this side on Monday week

1\. Simona
2\. Richards
3\. Lulia
4\. Lawrence
5\. Nofoaluma
6\. Anasta
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Fulton
10\. Galloway
11\. Thompson
12\. Koriobete
13\. Blair

14\. Austin (5 minutes at the death)
15\. Paterson
16\. Seumanufagai (first seen on the hour mark)
17\. Sue

People can't be serious if they think Taupau or Gavet would be playing first grade under Sheens
