Whats wrong Southerntiger, have i hit a nerve with my criticism of your precious 'supercoach' Sheens. I mean how dare i question 'supercoach'..no one else does.
1.The fact remains John Morris was played in the halves…Tim Sheens is the person who picked him in the halves therefore 'supercoach' should be held accountable for Morris' failings over not 1, not 2 .......but wait for it..... 3 YEARS!
2\. Sheens made it public last year that nobody within the club wanted Benji because of his injury record. Sheens the saviour went on to say he was the only one who wanted Benji @ the tigers. Benji was subsequently angry with the club. Why make something like that public??? I mean the club is Tim Sheen's employer (or is it the other way around). If thats not holding the club to ransom and creating divisions i dont know what is.
3\. Yeah Gallant the same player who helped us win 6 on the trot when given a shot.
4\. Well said southerntiger, we'll stick with ol' Roycie and a thing called "i cant teach defense".
5\. I would have bought ***ANY*** 1st grade front rower instead of buying Peter Lewis and playing Danny Galea in the front row
I'd rather not have Lamb, Langmack and Pearce. How about we get someone better. How about we get someone who can get us to the finals mored than once in 8 years. As i said, stick to mediocrity southerntiger. You make a great couple
Can I join in? btw… I don't think you need to get so heated dude...
1\. Inconsistancy in the halves can been just as much to blame as having Morris. I also think Morris gets a pretty hard wrap. Marshall played some absolute stinkers prior to last season and in my opinion more often than not was a major factor in our halves (including morris) under-performing... or not performing as was the case all too often.
2\. Agreed... the comment by Sheens was silly and he probably should have stayed far from it. From what I have been told by people close to the club around that time... the Club was very cautious in resigning Marshall and was more hopeful than confident.
3\. Gallant was NOT the saviour people make him out to be. He's a solid player and I like him... but with the youth we have coming through and the options we have in our backline... who cares. By all accounts he wasn't all that great when we played the Cowboys.
4\. Surely you are not so naive to think Royce is solely reposnsible for the defence training? I thought we defended really well last season.
5\. Sheens played Galea in the front row when we had a mountain of injuries.... seriously.... Galea hits hard enough, tackles well enough and it big enough to fill in at prop anyway. Fact is we brought a very good forward in Galloway, who will potentially be a regular rep player for many years to come and we should be cheering! Do the 15 other sides recruit such players on a regular basis? Forwards often have one big year and then go missing, we aren't the only side to make such errors.
Anyway... chill out man. If midocracy is not expecting to win the comp and have a team full of rep jerseys... then i guess i'm fine with it. Yes our side has under-performed the last 3 years... no doubt! But, we have been crueled with injuries and bad luck, often caused by a lack of depth. This year will be different, we have depth all over the park and I have no doubt it'll be a year to remember!
