Sheens future Safe at Wests Tigers

What crap…Parra made a GF from 8th.
8th youre alive
9th youre dead

The point was about making 8th and then bowing out first week - as in we don't just need to make the 8 to feel like we've had a good year, we need to give the whole final series a real shake, not just make up the numbers.

While ever youre alive youre still a chance in any game.
It seems we are talking about making 8th with no confidence whatsoever of progressing the next week…that can be assured with 9th, but not with 8th...and is a very very negative and deafeatist attitude//glass half empty ...not surprising from one that can only regulalry manage 9th & 10th
Talking about making 8th then bowing out straight away is preconceieved & pointless

actually it's just an attempt to make people feel better about missing the 8 for the last 4 seasons. Must say I don;t feel any better about it.

im going to have to agree with that. I hope and pray for points on the board this year: any finals footy is better than none

True.Parra came 8th last year, there is a massive difference btwn coming 8th and 9th,they almost snagged a comp out of it.Ludicrous suggestion by Sheens

Don't think I have seen such spin for a long time.

A plethora of excuses and spin.

Not that i disagree with everyone he has said. However you can bet your life If we had come 8th every single season, with no premiership and no finals wins he would be banging on about how important it is to make the semi finals no matter what happens.

He makes fair points about the time he took over and the obstacles he faced. Then after engineering a brillaint first 3 seasons he had a hug opportunity to capitalise. Our squad was strong. The last 4 years he has made a lot of mistakes in my opinion. Mistakes that would of seen him out the door at many clubs already, let alone discussing a new deal

Eddie, don't underestimate the value of stability.
Most other clubs have had coaching crises since 2003 (cowboys, knights, parra, souths, souths, souths, souths, penrith, easts, easts, easts, dragons, warriors, canberra) yet tigers have remained disciplined, growing from a poor base into a team that is now starting to rival the big-guns.
I'm not arguing against your comments in regards to his selections, but I do want to point out the value that he has brought to this club off the field. That should count for something.

Whatever decision they make they should probably make it soon. We want Sheens focusing on getting us wins, not focusing on where he will be in 2011\. If they don't want Sheens in 2011 then they better have someone good to take his place.

All I can say is I want to come and work for some of you people. I can give back less than average results and i will continue to have a job for years to come. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

On Ya Sheens !!!!

dont worry, i wouldnt hire u.. i dont need whingers, or un productive staff… u would not last

T-REXX, I am a perfectionist. I want everything to be perfect. That is how I work. I dont whinge, I identify problems and I offer solutions.

Look at all my posts, I offer solutions.

All year last year I would post about 100000000 times a week to have Gallant at 1, Marshall at 6 and Moltzen at 7\. When that finally happened we killed them. Then Sheens offered one of the most disgusting excuses I have ever heard from anyone when quizzed by a member of the press why he did not do that earlier in the start of the season. Sheens said, "**Its easy to say that in hindsight".** That just sums the man up.

If I dont suceed the 1st time I analyse what I did wrong and I have another crack. I use that formula until I get it right. In my workplace I learn from my mistakes. I have to otherwise my employer would not tolerate it any other way.

Learning from mistakes is something that some people do easier than others. The Fonz takes years to learn from his mistakes. That comes through stubborness. He signed two average footballers in the offseason and I will bet my life he gives them more of a chance than others more deserving because he does not want to indicate to people that those signings were poor judgement.

Have you ever ever heard the man say he was wrong?

It takes a man to say he is wrong, that is why you will never hear the Fonz say it.

T-Rexx I ask you questions openly on this forum, ones that you avoid answering. Why do you avoid my questions?

Here are two for you that I want a simple Yes or No answer for, ok are you ready?

**1) T-Rexx, are you happy as a Wests Tigers Supporter to have made the Semi Finals only once in ten years of our existance?**

**2) T-Rexx, are you happy that Tim Sheens has only made the semi finals once since the NRL began?**

Answer me those, with a simple yes or no and I will take it from there. . . .

Simple yes and no answers offer very limited insight Bug. You should know this.

Only a utter moron deals in every matter in absolutes

I think Balmain Bug has summed the situation up to a tee.
The media refuse to question the great man and 2005 is brought up ad nauseum.
It was half a decade ago …

Well you are either Happy or you are not Smeg, they are easy questions mate, you can answer them for me anyway you want but any person who can not answer those questions in a 'yes' or 'no' response is really subconsciously answering them in a 'NO' response. That is the reality of it mate.

That is the reality.

Too many people dont want to be true to themselves about this.

Be honest.

You say only utter morons deal in every matter in absolutes, well that I am not sure about, I just want people to start to be honest about themselves and the performance of Tim Sheens as a winning coach.

Maybe we should get Terry Lamb back. If Sheens gets us to the finals, look out.

**T-Rexx I ask you questions openly on this forum, ones that you avoid answering. Why do you avoid my questions?**

show me where i have avoided the question at hand aimed purely at me…

BB

Dont confuse perfectionist with a blinded dillusional know it all..

secondly, why would i want to answer your questions.. my answers will only bring more dribble out of that mouth of urs.... and i dont have a cloth big enough to wipe it up.. as someone said a simple YES OR NO is not a viable answer...

Yes and Yes then…..

Where you gunna take it!!!!!

Well that answer shows me that **you ARE happy with mediocrity** .

Your answer to the first question shows me that you are happy with a 10% success rate at making Semi finals as far as Wests Tigers go.

Your Answer to my second questions shows that you are happy with a 7.5% success rate of Sheens making Semi Finals in a NRL competition.

So Sheens has a 7.5 % sucess rate.
Someone like Steve Folkes has a 75% success rate.

:astonished: whats that? dont look so surprised Geo. . . it puts things into context doesn't it?

T-Rexx, I will let you answer it anyway you like then, if you have time.

Of course I am Bug…I followed Wests for 30 Years mate....1 Premiership in 7....Is **NOT MEDIOCRITY**

See here's where the difference between You and Me I guess...I support the Wests Tigers cause I love the Club..I love going to the games throughout a season cheering when they win and comiserating when they lose..Yes I would like them to qualify for the finals every year and Win the thing...but reality as you like pointing out is unlikely to happen...

You seem to be focussed on the be all and end all is qualifying for the finals..As you point out Sheens has Failed all but once with the Wests Tigers...Well great...He is also one of 4 Coaches to WIN a premiership in the last 5 Years...

But again all in the Past...

2010 is what counts and as yet a ball hasn't even been kicked in anger and you have already written the team I love off....and because I'll support Sheens as he is our Coach ........you say I accept mediocraty...

Fair enough...Each to their own....
