Sheens = No excuses left this Sunday...........

Sheensy has complained for years that any team who plays Monday night is at a big disadvantage the following week.

He's also said that when one team plays Friday and their opponents next week play Monday that the extra 72 hours is unfair and a huge advantage to the team who played Friday.

Well, guess what? This week it's US who have the huge advtantage. We have had a 72 hour head start on Penrith.

Wonder what he'll say if we lose?

No exuses this week. It's a win or the season is effectively over.

The season is not over if we lose.

It will suck immensely, but not over.

PS…..what if we win five in a row???

I reckon we can do it.....the opposition is beatable.

When I say "season over", I mean "premiership chances over".

Yes, we could still string some wins together and jag 7th or 8th spot.

But this squad is a premiership winning level squad in terms of talent. We were pre season favourites for a reason and we are stacked full of international players all over the park.

With the way the new finals format is, you basically need to be in the top 4 to have a shot….....and anything lower than 6th is basically suicide.

We NEED to win this week.

you can still win it from 8th…just keep winning....we need to win this week you cant afford to rely on stringing to many wins together at the back end

Why are we talking premierships??? i'll just take a win atm thanks

Same, ive already lowered my expectations for 2012, if we win a game this season i will try to enjoy it as much as possible, if i expect them to finish in the top 8 i will only be hurting myself.

My expectations have certainly changed…just winning a game will be good ,not expecting a top 4 finish now not even considering a top 8 at the moment the next 3 weeks will sought that out.We will now see if Sheens still has got what it takes to deserve coaching the Tigers next season.

Kangaroo rep center + kangaroo rep prop, kangaroo rep hooker, Kangaroo rep winger, Kiwi captain, Kiwi vice captain, England's best player…........a string of city and country players. Most in their peak age group (24 to 30)

If that squad is only aiming for 8th then something is seriously wrong.

We need to have some urgency. Sheens has a premiership level squad at his disposal. No more of this "well, we started slowly a few times before BS". Win and keep winning.

galloway has been injured.

farah has been out for 2 weeks

Lawrence out of form

ellis been out

and a nz vcap that needs time to adjust to our style

marshall not playing hes best

So all those things dont help do they.

**This mentality is why we lose.**

Melbourne have been absolutely ripped to shreds the past few seasons yet keep winning.

Hell, even Souths have had massive injuries…........Burgess has hardly played....and they seem to at least win every odd week.

souths had massive injuries in the forwards and missed the 8 because of it.

And melbourne have been lucky the big 3 cronk smith slater never seem to get injured.

Im not saying we shouldnt be doing better ..you made the point and highlighted that we have good players playing rep footy…so if they are out injured etc then its bound to hurt any team.

We should have beat souths thats for sure

We've had a few guys out for a couple of games. Robbie 2, Keith a few and now Ellis. That's normal for any NRL team.

It's also no excuse for a squad with our level of talent to be coming equal last with an incredibly bad Parramatta team.

nobody is using it as a excuse…it dont help though.time for the players to do what they get paid for...play there best footy

i think the top 8 system they have now is way easier for a teams 5-8\. if the tigers finished 7 or 8 with the mcintyre system it would pretty much be lights out, but it is quite doable finishing 5 or 6.
they can still do it. and i dont think sheens can be blamed really, apart from selections. havent seen the team for this week, but i hope moltzen has been dropped - he has been horrible.
also, hopefully farah back will help marshall as he has gone backwards this year too.

yes, my expectations have been altered also, now, i dont care if we dont make the 8, if it means we will be a top 4 contender in 2013\. With Anasta at the helm, I think we will see a different football team. bring it on baby, bring it on. next to best signing in gareth ellis we have now braith anasta. let me tell you, this guy knows how to close down a game abruptly - signing of the year. you gotta love the wests tigers. lets just grow this year and get some combinations going - find some confidence. But why does it feel as though we are always rebuilding to something. when are we ever going to find stability. Love my team!

now or never for wests-tigers in relation to this season.
need this win to build confidence.
confidence builds momentum.
teams will treat wests-tigers lightly and suffer the consequences

If we win I will enjoy it also, if we win a series of games in a row then I'll enjoy that more than watching a series of Dexter, and that's saying something as Dexter is a great series imo.

Yeah but Melbourne never seem to cop the same injuries as other clubs…. We've had our fair share this year!!
