Sheens please....

Taumata has played zero football in an month and only two reserve grade games this year and struggled with fitness in both

It was also confirmed Moltzen wasn't afraid to run at the defense when he was at fullback. He was being told to pass every kick return as Lazarus was doing the exact same thing tonight.

The same could be said about Benji. Flick passes when we're under the pump show him as someone only concerned about his highlight reel.

even so can you honestly say he wouldnt do a better job then fitzmonkey?

I think he definatley would but what are the chances of him playing there?

More likely to move Heighno to prop, Ayshford to lock and Arana to centre to allow Fitzy the halfback possie

i dnt care if taumata isnt fit even
hes still got more skill/ youngtalent to burn
hell do a better job then fitzhenry anyday!!

You don't care if he is fit?

You are aware fitness along with technique are a massive part of a players ability to defend? Defence is where we have lacked as much as anywhere.

I am not against him moving there by any means but not as a lamb to the slaughter

He's always played like that and Lote should have com back inside earlier…

He's always played like that and always will whilst ever there is no consequences for him

Sheens definitely got the team selection wrong this week. Lazo at fullback and Fitzy in the halves doesn't work. I simply cannot understand why he would move a bloke who is averaging 200 metres a game at fullback and put him back on the wing where he is receiving no decent ball at all. I'd love to be able to ask Sheens for an answer on that one.

I nearly got sucked in the black hole….

Only the thought of Tim Sheens saved me....

We have a good enough side to make the finals this year.

Only one thing and one thing only is going stop us and that's Tim Sheens and his team selections.

- Playing Moltzen at fullback
- Playing Fitzhenry at five eighth (or anywhere)
- Moving Ryan from fullback
- Picking debutants but shuffling all our playmakers around

Someone tell me what is so hard about picking a half and playing him at half without changing the team dynamic around?

7 out of 8 years of failure and one common theme. Players have come and gone, new CEO. One thing remains the same.

That new contract was deserved though, should sign him for life.

i agree with most on selections . but i bet you wernt against benjis flick pass in the g/f or on the many occasion they came off…he tried he failed . thats football.
watch the game honestly and tell yourself why we lost .....because we keep handing over the pill too cheaply.
all most of us want is for sheens to play the players in their right positions .... hmmmmm fitzy at half ....well you cant blame fitz for being selected.....

On Marshall…
The difference is the potential benefit. In the GF and on other occasions there has been a chance to score a try or make a significant break. Last night Lote wasn't going anywhere and we really needed to complete a set after being under the pump.

Sure you take the good with the bad and that was the bad. I wouldn't want to stop him trying stuff but you have to be a bit sensible about these things.

I agree with your comments about why we lost and that isn't Sheens fault.

I normally defend Tim Sheens but given I didn't get a good view of the Penrith game
Given what I did say from the side was terrible
Given the fact that Fitzhenry was named on the wing and played everywhere but
Given the fact that Lazarus was named halfback and I don't think he played halfback once
I cannot tell you if Lazarus is any good at halfback or not but if Sheens is going to play the players out of the position they're named in (injuries being an obvious exception) then he deserves the blame.

The difference in the GF is that we weren't 20 metres out from our own line on the first tackle. Sometimes it comes off sometimes it doesn't, but it's stupid to do silly things like that unless you're putting someone into a hole. I was filthy when he did it against Parra.

Benji is a top player, and we'd be in all sorts without him, but sometimes he needs to think of his team rather than looking good.
