Tim is off contract after this season i personally would love to see him resign and it seems the club feels the same way according to this article i found today.

I hope he signs but if he doesnt whats the odds we go after Bennett and whats the odds Sheens would go to South Sydney? 😕

LOOOOOL me toooo. I was full prepared to chuck the biggest fit.

I think really with the squad he has to work with this year and the things they should achieve (touch wood), and the great results of 2010 Tim won't be going anywhere in a hurry.

It is pointless talking about Bennett, if he leaves the Dragons he will return to QLD, his wife and family are still there and
really the Dragons move was just a project for him and with the Dragons winning the title in 2010 its mission accomplished.

As far as who will ccoach the Tigers after Sheens, it is blatantly obvious that Folkes is being groomed which I don't think is a bad thing at all.

I hope Sheens continues with the Tigers after this year. He is one of the better coaches in the NRL with heaps of experience and a good rapport with the players from what I can see. IMO he is committed to the Wests Tigers achieving results.

Honestly cant see Sheens going anywhere. The work he has put into the club over the last 8 years is starting to pay off.
Juniors are finally coming of age and showing the potential he promised they would years ago.
IMO Sheens should be able to stay as long as he wants and will. I cant see him or Bennett going to Souths. Agree with Helmesy on Bennett. And that Folkes will be the next coach of the tigers.

I don't see Sheens going anywhere after the Tigers, apart from maybe retirement…...he has nothing to prove and has been around forever. He really only stays for his love of the game in my opinion. Unfortunately it will be a sad day when he hangs up his clipboard as it is knowledge, experience and class that rugby league will sorely miss.

I'm dumbfounded…Sheens thinking of staying...I'll never..

Is this the 1st SHEENS... thread of the season....

Yes Geo - First of 2011.

Sheens a Tiger for as long as he wants.

He Should and Will anoint his successor.

Only Bennett better for our club and he isnt coming to Concord.

End Of Thread IMO…

The veteran mentor has been at the helm of the Tigers since 2003, leading the club to their inaugural premiership victory in 2005.

Tigers boss Stephen Humphries told sportsnewsfirst.com.au that whilst private negotiations of a contract extension have begun, it is still early days.

“Were in the midst of talking about that,” Humphries said.

“We don’t have any kind of set time table but we are already talking about life beyond this season.

“It’s all very premature at this stage.”

The joint venture has no back-up plan according to Humphries, with the club's sights firmly locked onto the Australian coach.

“My conversations with Tim have been very positive so we will just see how that takes shape over the coming weeks,” Humphries said.

Sheens is one of only two coaches to register 300 first grade wins, the other being Wayne Bennett.

The 60-year-old boasts four premierships from five grand final appearances, his most recent with the Tigers in 2005.

Just six days ago, it was announced Sheens will coach Australia for his third year despite Australia losing the Four Nations final to New Zealand.

Cant wait for sheens to sign another contract as ther is no one around who could do a better job then him, also when he signs a new contract so will lawrence in my opinion.
