I certainly have to disagree that Elford and Galea were bad signings. They held the team together witheir defence in 2005\. When you buy and sell it is par for the course to get a few duds and a few winners. Ask Lloyd Williams the owner of the Melbourne Cup winner. If you want to compare Sheens' record compare it with Parrammatta's record over the last 10 or so years.
While i am one of the first to bag sheens, I can't agree with half those players listed. A lot of them were Juniors who came through and where given a shot ( maybe a little late) and never impressed. Show me one club that hasn't had this happen?
Then others like.
Laurie. He was good and everyone was calling for him to be given a shot just didn't have the work ethic or discipline to make it.
Cayless. Cheap signing that was worth a shot.
Ohara. Hardly Sheen's fault that he kept getting injured.
Tandy. For years people on this forum screamed for him to be given a go and when he did he didn't impress again hard to blame sheens for that.
Most of the other "signings" you have listed would have been min wage every club has these types of players.
As for people he bought to the club
Hodgo, Richards, Prince, Sattler, Ellis, Payten, Galloway, Ryan, Tuiaki (Turned him into a winger), Whatuira, Lui and Bell.
Plus Tuqiri and Morris were not bad signings. Tuqiri was in great form before getting injuried and Morris was played out of postion.
