Sheens....THREAD!!!!...OFFICIAL.

If we do not make the finals the club will have to make a decision regarding Sheens….. an organisation can't continue succsefully with a coach or CEO that is not performing .This would make 5 yrs of promises broken and trying to sell season tickets for 2011 would be like selling a fridge to eskimos..in reality he should of been removed 3 yrs ago so we will have to see how the season pans out but the crunch is definatly on regarding Sheens future.
 
Sheens has too much of a I am right attitude, he keeps the same players pretty much now matter how good or bad they perform. Those inside passes c'mon we just get smashed or drop the ball, come up with someting different please.
Examples;
He has earmarked Lui to be the 7 so won't give anyone else a go, he can't defend is a lazy defender and just won't take control.
Beau Ryan failed at fullback previously but puts him back there when there are better options. Raking the ball out when 2 in the tackle in extra time, stick to being funny cause you have no idea, great dummy half runs last night (oh my God)
Benji goal kicking, please he is the worst kicker (goal and general) in first grade but he still is the main kicker. He tries to take control of the game but no one including himself has any idea of what he is going to do. Forwards can't hit the line and just get set up to be smashed as a result, has to get the ball late in the tackle count because he panicks and does not respect the ball, how many times have we lost the ball on first and second tackle because he has to throw the flick pass or pass to someone not in a better position like he did to Beau Ryan last night.
Fitzhenry, he is hopeless but Sheens continues to give him a go.
Skandalis, nothing against Skando he is a champion but is getting on a bit.

Sheens has to start dropping players if they don't perform and give some of our talented young players an opportunity, thing are getting that bad that I don't think we will be able to recover, when things are broken they have to be fixed not patched up hoping that they will get better. Priority one is get a half back in there to take the control off Marshall because if it doesn't happen we can kiss this season goodbye.

I think our pack is good. I think our kicking game is now good. Basically I think that you are way off the mark.

Our issues are:
1\. Fullback - Ryan was a disgrace.
2\. Lote - his commitment was terrible.
3\. Lui - his defence is not there yet however I am prepared to let this slip as it is his first year in the top grade.
4\. A lesser point however Sheens needs to start choosing bigger players off the bench because we have a backrow that plays a lot of minutes.

Yeah ellis and heighington are 80 minute players, and i have no doubt that fulton could play the 80 also. Deadset we're the only side who names a winger on the bench. We did the same thing last year with hanbury for most of the year. If we're going to pick a back on the bench why not blood a young half or 5/8 who'll add something more than a winger who plays a sympathised 5 minutes at the end
 
Sheens had a blow up with Humphreys last week over his player selections and his bench (Skando).. As a result of Farah & other players having enough of a certain player, but to get the Fitz dropped he had to go to our ceo because they new sheens wouldn't budge hence the reason Fitzy is banished to state cup for good when Fitzy was told he got angry and said to sheens wheres the loyalty.. Imo this is not a good sign when players have to go over the coaches head to get results and the fact we have players who arent performing blowing up about being dropped. Sheens is seething over it and had a few choice words to say to the ceo, i think some of the players have had enough! imo this will be his last season.

Again, form can change quickly. I wrote the Tigers off after they got pumped by Souths because on form, they were playing terrible. But they turned it around and won their next 4\. Now I don't know if they can repeat that here, but I'm not prepared to write them off yet.
 
Sheens selections are his biggest problem. He continually replaces a prop with a player from another position. Flanagan has coime in for props the last 2 weeks.

I still remember in 08 Stuart flanagan coming in for Galloway in a must win game. John Lang had the right idea last night, he replaced a center with a center, a prop with a prop etc and look what happened.
 
I really cant see us beating another team this year and thats not being negative as a result of last night. This team is playing really really poorly and have been for 95% of this year. So their is a real chance we could still miss the eight and thats the good news, Sheens will be flicked.

Not for one minute do I blame Sheens for last nights game, I think Beau knows who blew it last night but I do blame him for not being able to get this team firing for nearly five year
 
I must admit i find some of sheens selections selections hard to work out sometimes but he never dropped the ball or missed the tackles last night, & its allright to say get rid of these players but who do we replace them with?. as for gibbs he has been one of our most consistent players this year, some of the players you want have been out injured for weeks so its pointless naming them.
 
two things need to happen before we can be real challengers in this comp …..
the first person who knows the game.knows we need fresh blood in the coaching ranks , and the second is we need a real halfback .. forget these 20 yo fill in kids that get fed to the lions ...
sheens had the young blake lazarus as a halfback oppotunity , so what happens when he finally picks him .... he plays him at fullback , we lose the game and blake is the scapegoat ..... when will sheens wake up and fall on his sword .....we have a worthy replacement waiting in the wings ..... steve folkes is more than capable and he wont play favourites like an under 8s coach does .....

willow we have been playing average for 10 weeks .. there are guys in here who have tried to point this out but they get blasted for being negative … the FACT is we cannot compete against the bigger and strongewr teams .. our biggest ploy is to turn it back into the ruck to tire the opposition , and in turn we are the pack getting smashed ... sheens is stale .. and his players do not respect him anymore .....

Sheens has got to go and go now!

As for who do you replace, Lui, Asyford, Ryan, Flanagan, Fitzhenry, Brown, with? Get a reserve grade roster (both Wests and Balmain) ,ditto with the under 20's and take your pick.

A couple of props from these teams (large ones), get the best second rower in the world for the past two years (Ellis) running wide (not as a bloody prop forward for God's sake) and the same for Moors. If you can't get a half back who can tackle, then at least get one who can kick (Lazarus). Pritchard from Wests can play centre, wing and fullback. Mullaney, when he is back, can play fullback, wing and halfback. He is also a very very good goalkicker and try scorer.

So, get rid of Sheens, get a coach who can utilise our young talent and let them loose. Anything/anyone would be better than the crap that was dished up last night (and for the past month in reality).
 
I would prefer to miss the semis a get a new coach
we all no if we get in the semis without moltzen in the team
we will go loss loss, get kicked out of the semis and still have sheens as the coach next year

Thoughts?
