If we don't make the 8 (even if we make it and go out early)….Sheensy needs to be fair and let these blokes hear another voice during their careers. It's not fair on our core blokes that they've only ever had one NRL coach. Even great players learn when they get a new coach.
It's clear at this stage that Benji Marshall still hasn't got it at 27\. Inconsistent and error prone...main streangth is natural ability...just like he was at 21\. Is he a 6 or a 7...............geez, the coach still hasn't worked it out after nearly a decade.
Benji, Robbie, the core guys need a new coach and new ideas. Don't say there's none out there. There's a Shane Flanagan and McGuire always waiting....Nathan Brown, Tony Smith are the next ones..........this club needs new ideas. Sheensy has had some good years, but there's been too many down years for a team with once in a generation players like Benji and Robbie. We are in serious danger of wasting the last few years of their careers.
The whole club needs to hear a fresh voice.
If we fail to make the finals and Sheens still says he's the man for the job next season, then he's in it for ego and nothing else. The right thing would be to walk away and let the players start fresh next season. Honestly, this seasons roster is stacked and we've barely turned in a decent 80 min performance all season.
Not good enough Coach.
