Shelves in your local supermarket

I have to say that I went to Coles for some stuff but wasnt available...so I went to IGA,got some but others unavailable...especially long life milk, steak, and lamb...

So the question I asked myself was "" how much longer will this supply chain fiasco last and should I stock up with canned foods, namely soups, backed beans etc ""

Whats your opinion forumers,my bro and I grow tomatoes, shallots.spring onions and cauliflower...

BUT what has to be done to stop this before it gets that desperate that babies and kids cant get fed....??

The govt. has unwittingly solved one of the greatest unsolved mysteries.

Last night at our local woolworths there was not a single chicken or egg on the shelves to be seen.

This means that the question of, **what came first the chicken or the egg?** is not worth talking or worrying about anymore because neither of them now exists.

Is someone still saying KFC?

Seriously folks, i'm wondering is it this bad overseas? Do you know friends relatives overseas and what are they saying?

What area do you live in?
Just curious as we haven’t had any issues here (west Ryde), I have heard the Campbelltown area has low stock.

We’re lucky here at the moment hopefully it returns to normal shelves for everyone soon. I have a feeling the further out people are the more impacted.

Interesting. Cheers.

Really not noticing much maybe I’ve just been lucky.

For various reasons, I think it's reasonable to expect that some locations will have better results with food supply than other locations.

Since the govt. had relaxed the covid related rules, the transportation issues in the supply chain, i think is becoming lesser of a concern, the reason i say this, is because many of these truckies are independant operators with dedicated contracts, so they have a great interest and incentive to protect their business and income and so must return to their work asap.

The other type of workers in the supply chain, e.g, the woolworths shelve fillers don't have this incentive as the truckies do, so if a shelve filler has a cold/flu like symptoms but is still able to work some of them will just not work because they know that they'll get the 5-7 days sickpay by providing either a fake or a real positive RA test, and this is the reason and where i believe the supply chain has currently being greatly weakened.

Yeah I noticed this morning that the smaller supermarket near us is closing a 8pm for the next week. I am assuming because of staff shortages.

True, and almost definate that this is now the main weakness in the supply chain.

I would rather the shelf packers (and any other sick supply chain staff) take the time to recover from their Covid infections properly, rather than continue the accelerated spread of this illness creating more pressure on the health systems around the country.

A little inconvenience at most IME.

Everything as normal in my local woollies and aldi here in Perth. Not a singe sheet of toilet paper though of course.
It blows my mind.

Costco is good for TP. You go in and they have tonnes of it.

Costco good hey? Yearly membership?

Yep. Good value. It’s not a place you’d do your groceries, but it’s a good place go to every couple weeks and get novelty things.

The NSW Health Minister says he has been the victim of a fraudulent COVID-19 test report and says those responsible for the "moronic" act will be punished.

Brad Hazzard said he received a notification from NSW Health that someone had registered a positive rapid antigen test (RAT) under his name.
Mr Hazzard said whoever had made a fake report with his details was "juvenile" and "extremely irresponsible".
"It is juvenile, it is **moronic**

But Mr Hazzard should not be surprised at all that this has happened, it sure was obvious that this new RA test reporting system was going to be open for abuse.

Yes Mr Hazzard if your fake reporting system was not moronic too, then those people would not have appeared as moronics.

Is this fake report why some supermarkets are having supply issues?
