My mum bought an electric jug back in the 80's from I think it was an Electrovision store. The thing shorted out the first time she used it and scared the shit out of her, so she took it back to the store the next day, Bloke in the store told her, more or less, bad luck, she must have misused it. So I took it back down to the store and pitched it through the front door into a shelf full of small appliances, then went in and asked the bloke for a refund.
He called the cops instead but it was almost worth the cost of a jug.
