Signing Rumours..

I'd be happy to keep Naiqama on the wing if we lock Idris in. His decision making in defence will be far less pivotal there. Tell him to stick to the outside man and that's it. His power and speed will make him an effective finisher.

Simons can also play wing very well but he has had such a strong season in centre. If it's not broken don't fix it.

Are we going to go chasing after Paul Vaughan?

He would be a great signing and would boost our forward pack which could ultimately going to get into the 8

I hope you dont mean Kev was good at centre he was terrible in defence and most of our defensive problems came from him

Well he was very good for us in attack.

He also has a pre-season to work on his defence.

I think Kev had a good year and should stay at the club for 2017

Greg Bird released from Titans Official , where will he end up

Probably Dragons, Rabbitohs or Knights. I see those three teams needing a bit of experience to help their young upcoming talent.

Plus Souths would happily accept a grub like him, Dragons would take anyone and Knights need to try and find 17 players to sign for the club

I personally think he will wear the Red V in 2017

He's signed with the Dragons for 2017\. Catalans. 5 years.

Kev will never be any good at defence, if you play him on the wing his defensive reads are much easier (instead of Rankin).Center in my humble opinion is one of the hardest positions to play in defence and we dont need a witches hat with a dodgy haircut there.

Well Kevvy does have that unique stlye under the highball…like a seal attempting to catch a beachball ...so yeah give it a go again....I'd be backing the seal to have a higher success rate tho...

do we go to Taronga park zoo to sign the seal?On the upside you only have to throw him a few fish daily at least it would be cheaper

This is the problem with Kev on the wing. I'm not sure this will work. I've seen him kill it in the centres. Defensively he is a concern but so is Moses, Aloiai & Nofo. I don't see why he gets singled out.

Because he is often the one that creates the problems that make the others look worse than they are defensively.

I think it would also be great to pick up Dean Whare for <100k

Where DO you get these figures from - he is an international and he is going to take 100K.

Good luck with that.

raiders signed their england internationals on for the same amount (which i think is just ridiculous)

Iam afraid the days of paying anyone 100g a year who have played some top grade are gone. Most people would be amazed at what most of the fringe first graders are now been paid. It all comes down to supply and demand. My guess if Whare put himself on the market he would attract some interest and soon as you have interest by more than one club your price starts to rise.

A lot of players from England would come and play NRL for free if given just the opportunity.
100k is drinking money.

I highly doubt that

Hodgson was a recognized first grader with an ESL side , he would command at least 4-5 times that

Whitehead didn't just come to Australia and Wicky magically transformed him into tackling machine with great ball skills and an eye for running good lines

Unless the English Rugby League are sending players out here and are supplementing their wages to get more experience to try and match Australia and NZ there is no way they are playing for a 100 k

The Tigers can't afford to spend >100k on an outside back, unless it is Jamal Idris.
If we are interested in Dean Whare we would have to sign him for <100k or not at all
