I'd assume that the money free'd up by Kev leaving (if he does) would help pay for Idris and possibly be enough to get ET over the line. If Rankin is trying to be offloaded we wouldn't need to spend anymore then 100k or so to get an upgrade on his talents on the wing. Maybe Papenhuyzen will try to be brought on sooner then planned if he develops a bit more physically over the off sesason. That is more thinking out loud…

All I know is that Rankin on the wing is not the answer and there are half a dozen blokes off contract that would be an upgrade around the same price.
 
If we couldnt afford ivan cleary at $550k then we wont be able to touch hasler. Close friend of mine (die hard bulldogs supporter) reckons if bulldogs can reach a settlement with Hasler than Cleary will be their coach in 2017.

Interesting..I had the feeling Des was on the outer. Quite frankly his style of football doesn't work anymore. Having front row forwards playing as you sudo no6 or 7 worked for a while, but most teams now want a quick long pass to a half in order to give him a little more reaction time and space. Des loves big massive packs and we can not help him there

Couldn't afford Cleary or didn't think he was worth that much?
Or weren't interested at all?

In one of TT's post he said we were in talks with Cleary but his asking price was much higher than we were willing to pay. Paying out Taylor wouldnt be much of a problem, isnt he the lowest paid coach.
 
Looks like the Dogs are going to have to pay Des out a cool Million to oust him…Maybe he could come in 2017 pro bono ...

Fox Sports reporting ET looking likely to ignore interest from Super Rugby clubs to re-sign with us. Could depend on us offloading Siro though.
 
I'd say Sirro has a lot to do with ET.

I'm comfortable with getting rid of an expensive State Cup player to keep ET.

If that's the case (lowest paid coach and lowest budget ) and we ended up one point off finals then for me we are going really well.

Hasler is starting to remind me of sheens at the end. I think the game has moved past him in terms of tactics, and he is struggling to adapt.

Wasnt us signing ET dependent on us off loading Farah? This tells me some of the numbers been thrown around in the media about how much we are subsidising Farahs contract are true.

Its probably why idris hasnt been confirmed either. Waiting on Kev to go overseas, and siro to go manly for ET.
