I reckon there is only one player who is off contract who is up with Tedesco, if not better - Kurtley Beale. He played league when he was young and if you watch his games it shows that he is a league player who brought rugby league to union. He is electric and in the video I attach below he indicates that he played league when he was young and always wanted to represent the Kangaroos.
He would be worth top dollar. He was on $1.2m per year in England and the highest earning player in their comp. He is coming back to Aus and he will not get the same amount over here but why not pay top dollar for a marquee player who I reckon is better that Tedesco. Tempt him with origin and the opportunity to put on a Kangaroo jersey.
Ivan should hit the NRL to register him as a marquee player and support bringing him over - he would be a crowd puller.

There is a salary cap concession for signing players from rival codes if I'm not mistaken. Would be a good novelty, but I'm not sure it would play out under Cleary.

We will sound out a lot of players over the next few weeks/months, any journos get wind of it they will make a story. Tigers are one of the prime talking points of season 2017 and we have a lot of cash to spend. In fact if we do this right, we keep positive Tigers news in the papers for several consecutive weeks, it's good business.
