Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I've mentioned it before....but Jeral Skelton is the type of player we should be going after. Stuck behind a few at Dogs when everyone is fit. Off contract at the end of the year. Metre eater. Powerful, yet still has some speed and x-factor. Would definitely be an improvement on our backline each week.
I’ll take him and Grant Atkinson from the Storm as well. Instant upgrades to starting our sets. Neither would cost a bomb.

Looks alright but he's 25 not that, that is old but the fact he's 25 and hasn't played very much top grade stuff at what was a poor dogs team up until this year. Is he just a KOE cup hero or can he comfortably play NRL week in week out, deffo has the size we are lacking on the flanks though.

I think he is a Rugby convert, so maybe that's why it's taken a while to play NRL

You are spot on, big props with big engines.
Miller worries me that he will never lose that baby fat as it hasn't changed for the last 2 years.
He said in the pre-season he wanted to shed 10kg. Well it didn't work. May become too hard?
We need to plan that it wont eventuate and if it does, it's a bonus!
The weights and heights of players are done at the start of the season so probably back when he was that weight

Yeah he is a rugby convert which explains the age and not much NRL game time. Been killing it in cup for a while now. Wish we had have gone for him instead of Reilly and Alaimalo as our attempted rugby convert.

Miller is barely an adult so I’d say give him time it’s not just weight that matters. There is a difference between match fitness and general fitness. I mean look at Blake Lawrie, with all due respect to the big fella… he’s a big fella but he has match experience and fitness. Miller has one game of first grade and a need for dropping weight or a major change of physique was never required or needed 2 years ago. Guess we will have to wait and see.

That's right. Glen Lazarus could play 80 minutes and you wouldn't say he had a fit looking body. Andrew Fafita, Junior Paolo other players of the modern game to have great carriers despite looking fat.

Please, you can't really be comparing the body types of the brick with ears and the fat kid.
Miller's a human pear.

And comparing Junior Paolo's body type to Miller?
That'd be the funniest Specsavers ad. yet.
Funnier than the guy spiking a seagull thinking it's a volleyball.

Next year is going to very important. A lot of our up and coming players will bail if we don’t start winning.

Looks like we’ve lost Stefano, Galvin could be next. Very hard to get off the bottom of the table when you keep losing your better players.

Replacements for Stef?
Gotta get some early releases from contracts.

Bunty Afoa (Warriors)
Xavier Willison (Broncos)
Alec Tuitavake (Dragons)
Oregan Kaufusi (Sharks)

I expect our pack next year to be

8. Poulo
9. Koroisau
10.Klemmer
11.Bateman
12.Fainu
13. Matamua

14. Pole
15. Twal
16. Seyfarth

4 spoons in a row

Agree. We need to find a winger who can help with yardage, and he seems one of the few on the market.
