Jordan Miller is only 18....So much for all our up and coming "stars" not one made the U19 SOO teams....not a single player...disappointingUnder 19s.
Only Galvin and Mason of our first grades qualifies I believe

But will all who did make it go on to NRL careers - the odds say no.Jordan Miller is only 18....So much for all our up and coming "stars" not one made the U19 SOO teams....not a single player...disappointing
I'm pretty happy where we are at with regards to our juniors. We seem to have our development team working hard to identify and secure our youngsters. Not all players can play junior reps and often in many sports being selected is not always about skill. Miller, Galvin, Mason etc are outstanding juniors.Jordan Miller is only 18....So much for all our up and coming "stars" not one made the U19 SOO teams....not a single player...disappointing
Pretty sure he had an injury plagued off season.Miller is a different type all together. I think it's unfair to lump his current conditioning on the club when you see everyone else looking absolutely ripped. Some actually need to put some beef on IMO.
Miller is an abnormality body. A giant kid who it seems has struggled in off seasons to maintain his weight. A lot of it is genetics and a lot must be put on Jordan himself.
It doesn't matter what the club does, they can't control what a player does outside training.
IMO we are doing the right thing. We are slowly building his conditioning and being patient. Much better approach then just flogging him to the point he drops too much weight to quickly.
You are spot on, big props with big engines. All the props in last nights game were giants and all looked much more agile and fitter than Miller.
The question has to be asked as to why we cannot get all our top 30 players looking like athletes that full time professional athletes should look like ?
I juniors are grossly overhyped however Miller would not have been considered for selection due to being active in our NRL side. Same as Galvin and Da Silva last year.Jordan Miller is only 18....So much for all our up and coming "stars" not one made the U19 SOO teams....not a single player...disappointing
6 of them are named in the NRL squad this week which takes priority over an under 19s game.Jordan Miller is only 18....So much for all our up and coming "stars" not one made the U19 SOO teams....not a single player...disappointing
You realise that the U19 SOO team is selected after NRL teams right? All of our brighter juniors played NRL for us last week so were therefore ineligible to be selected.Jordan Miller is only 18....So much for all our up and coming "stars" not one made the U19 SOO teams....not a single player...disappointing
I think that they shouldn’t be allowed to needle for a pre-existing injury
Would love to see him at 115kg, not 131. Hopefully a decent pre-season will sort him.I read on this forum both Bellamy and Bennett had chased him more than once. They see what our club saw in him, a very fine footballer with very good skills who does need conditioning.
He is closer to 120 atm than 131. 131 is what he came to pre season weighing and has said he lost 7 - 8 kg since.Would love to see him at 115kg, not 131. Hopefully a decent pre-season will sort him.
I think folks are missing the point here.Bellamy is a blue, he was born and raised at Portland 20 kilometres from where I live, he is also my son inlaws uncle, so end of story

They seem to be able to cherry pick who they want and get them to Canberra OK. All silent behind the scenes manoeuvring."The Raiders have signed three of rugby league’s most promising stars, with Ethan Sanders, Myles Martin and Savelio Tamale all making the move to the nation’s capital" (Foxsports).
Raiders are doing ok - they had 3 of their own in the NSW u19 SoO last night and just picked up another 3 of their NSW team members in Sanders, Martin and Tamale.
ExactlyIf you remember, he was offered a contract at 150k to stay on. He may have signed that for one year to prove himself next year (due to all the points you've correctly raised) in the hope of an upgrade or a better contract at another club. Jack Bird was in a similar position.
I'd rather have Doueihi, even for depth at 150k, than someone who is unlikely to get selected if injuries hit.
I'd put it down to a salary cap decision for us and an opportunity for Douehi to show that his injuries are past him. At 150k, it doesn't matter if he plays cup all next season because it barely impacts our cap, but provides good depth. I don't mind it.
Do they still do cement out that way?Bellamy is a blue, he was born and raised at Portland 20 kilometres from where I live, he is also my son inlaws uncle, so end of story
Younger than us maybe but he'll be 28 next year.Rueben Porter interview on WT website- he seems like a very likeable and bright young man. Hope he can keep up his effort and hold his place in the team.
I love the way you think.Exactly
Hardly a dint in the cap,
Let’s just hope he comes good and we end up with a very cheap NRL player.
If not well it’s only 1 year and we say thank you and good bye.
