Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

@Geo Hopoate is trying to fit the best 17 on field and the current fullback Meaney can't play centre

Hopoate is way better than Mbye ,Moylan isn't great but either is Mbye

Gordon is similar to Mbye but kicks goals .....

Milford will be playing fullback as soon as the Broncs find a 6 ......in fact Milford would be my Qld fullback with Ponga off the bench

Just because someone wears a black white and tangerine jersey doesn't suddenly make them 20 % better than they actually are

Just read on one of the fantasy forums I'm a member of that Matt Parcell is only playing part time footy now. Definitely has the talent to play NRL imo.

@WT2K It is possible he just not have the determination and application to play NRL and is just happy to play park football.I have known players like that from the past

@happy_tiger

If we are talking about fullbacks. Lets break it down.

**World Class Group** (Noone is even close to these guys)
1 - Tedesco
2 - Ponga
3 - Trobovic
4 - RTS

**High Level Group** (Great footballers, just not in elite group, with injuries would play origin)
5 - Gutherson
6 - Moylan (If anyone thinks Mbye is better than him they are kidding. He has everything)

**Up and Comers** (Showing more than Mbye, but some will say to early to judge. I would have them all above Mbye)

7 - CNK (100% better than Mbye)
8 - J.Hughes (Great footwork and pace)
9 - Dufty (More elusive in attack, defensively not as good as Mbye)

**The Rest of the pack** (These guys all have positives. Most are exceptionally safe, but a bit more limited in attack...except AJ who is probably more the opposite)
10 - Johnston
11 - Boyd
12 - Gordon
13 - Mbye
14 - Meaney

**The weakest** (Safe, but don't offer much as a FB in my opinion)
15- DWZ
16 - TMM

For me, the top 6 are a lightyears above the rest. The group from 7-14 there is probably not a heap between, but if I had to pick thats the order I would have them. If Milford was playing fullback hed be in the second group.

@WeHaveCheeKam top I agree with and Moylan at 5 but Mbye and Gutho are about equal as fullbacks around 6/7 for mine. Gutho has started this seasin better bu tf Mbye was better last yr and is still comimg back from injury this yr obviously.

I think some people are underrating Mbye massively, which I think we’ll see before the end of the season. People have short memories as he was great for us last year.

He’s obviously not 100%, and a bit out of sync with the rest of the team. IMO he’ll back to his best in a few weeks.

@weststigerman I'm hoping the long break from our last game is exactly what he needed to get his knee right

@weststigerman I note you are back onboard without the 1

And yes, Mbye is copping m noire than he deserves, but that's nothing new on here.

The amount of time that gets wasted debating pointless things on this forum is ridiculous. Whether you are a fan of Mbye or not, he’s not going to be moved on at the end of the year. Just like the Brooks rubbish a couple weeks ago. We’ve invested in our spine for the next several years. It’s going to be Mbye/Grub/Brooks, with the jury still out on the hooker. Who play number 9 is the real topic of conversation, not fullback when our current fullback is signed for 4 years and happens to be the club captain. It’s unfortunate that Gutho didn’t come off contract a year or two earlier, he’d be a great pick up. But there’s only so much you can spend on your spine, and I would guess we are pretty much at our limit.

If Mbye is playing with an injury this could account for his pretty lack-lustre performances- but as someone has eluded to we won't be getting another F/B
