Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You obviously don’t watch too many Penrith games.
Expect to be crying if we do sign him. 675-800k will be a bargain deal for us. I think our offer will start with a 9 or even a 1.
So true. If this does come to fruition, we'll be paying for one of the best wingers in the world at the peak of his powers PLUS the experience, leadership & cultural value he brings to the squad PLUS the marketing power he brings to the club. So $800k would be good value IMO.

You are also getting better carries out of the backfield than we’ve probably ever had. Much more than “just a winger”.

Not to mention he’d improve the clubs credibility with players/managers even further.

Earlier this week he was on the news stating that he was going nowhere and how he was committed to the Panthers, it's sometimes hard to believe whether a footballer is lying or not (I suppose this only occurs when they open their mouth)!!
Same as some on this forum.

I'm taking the Fox for half of what Cobbo thinks he's worth - Everyday.

Don't mind that, Staggs either as you said. I get why
you would be tentative of signing him given the effort
factors but he's still young and red hill is a shit show!

Not sure why people don’t think Wingers are worth more than 800k, but are ok with Props getting over a million.

There’s probably 5 or 6 props on a million or more, and even more just under a million.

Wingers like To’o make more metres than all the props in the comp and their runs are much more important as they start the sets.

Props might do more work defensively but wingers also score tries and provide points. Wingers play the full 80 minutes and most props only play 40-60mins with the exception of a few.

Everyone is just stuck in the old way of thinking or are just echoing the words of jurnos who’ve never played a minute of football in their lives.

Prop now the second highest paid average position in the comp

How many To’os exist though? Can’t think of many.

He should be the highest paid wing man by far.

Maybe why he’s not happy.

To be fair. The ball didn't just come magically to the wingers. How many did Sivo score in the games he played?
