Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m not against klemmer but that is a good summary. He could probably better his offloading. Tackle breaks Probabaly a different matter?
When thinking offloading you also need to remember we don't have anyone who supports the play. Bula is nowhere near the ruck, ever, too unfit and lazy. Needs a real kick up the ass. Mason is far superior to Bula on that one regard. Even Galvin is superior.
If there's no one to pass to you can't offload...!

Unless you’re the dogs, you can’t sign anyone while your 30 man roster is full.

Will be a test for richo can he rebalance the roster without bringing back another Sheenius incarnation through screwing our cap through paying people to play elsewhere.
You can.

You can sign them, but you can't register them until a roster spot is made available.

A lot of people are misinterpreting a 10-second comment from him in an interview on 4BC radio saying that he'd be happy to keep Kobe & Paix, it's a clean slate. Now that's a lot different to saying he'll enforce their contracts with the club. So to me, he's just playing things with a straight bat in initial interviews.
They only have so much game time available. Not everyone can start. Some will go...

You ALSO called them low impact- just pointing out that statistically, that Klemmer in the least has as much impact in most catagories as the guy nearly to a man on this board is suggested as our saviour.

But- if you want a team that Twal, Klemmer & Seyfarth could in theory put enough numbers together to crack the top 17..

SOO Forward (Starter)
24 Games
4 tackle breaks
501 PCM
3 offloads
94.9% tackle efficiency
72 run metres per game

Bench Forward (Highly wanted on this message board)
23 games
36 tackle breaks
635 PCM
4 offloads
96.3% tackle efficiency
80 run metres per game

Starting Prop
22 games
17 tackle breaks
873.1 PCM
0 Offloads
95.7% tackle efficiency
102 run metres per game

Bench Prop
9 games
16 tackle breaks
328.5 PCM
3 offloads
89.8% tackle efficiency
101 run metres per game

Bench Middle
22 games
23 tackle breaks
735.9 PCM
12 offloads
88.9% tackle efficiency
112 run metres per game

Bench backrower
21 games
34 tackle breaks
635 PCM
3 offloads
86.8% tackle efficiency
81 run metres per game

I give you- Manly
Jake T
Ethan Bullemoor
Joah Aliaoi
Matt Lodge
Nathan Brown
Ben T

For comparison-
Twal
18 Games
28 tackle breaks
565 PCM
6 offloads
97.2% tackle efficiency
80 run metres per game

Seyfarth
23 games
21 tackle breaks
701.8 PCM
16 offloads
94.5% tackle efficiency
75 run metres per game

I'd say our 1 dimensional low impact plodders at the very least hold up to the forwards that finals playing Manly put on the field.

Before you rant that neither Klemmer, Twal or Seyfarth are exceedingly better than these Manly forwards- my point is they are not worse either.

I could have given the Storm numbers, Dolphins numbers...even the Sharks to a degree. Canterbury.

Klemmer, Twal & Seyfarth are not the problem. In fact, in a poor overall defensive team, it can be argued all 3 need to be on the field more.

Our issue (IMO) is that we have started our sets of six too far in our territory for any of our forwards to ever exceed in impact plays. Our return on metres from tackles 1 & 2, from our outside backs, are some of the worst numbers in the NRL. Hopefully Turuva & Skelton can help with that.

We have all the impact we need from Pole, Hunt & Sione Fainu.
Is there a stat for who gets offloaded against as a team and or individual.

Was at the Zetland hotel on the weekend I heard off a few of the junior players that the big Souths baby had a tantrum over what Wayne said to him

that's funny

Also the brothel at Wentworth point is the place to go at half time for a phone charger more funny stuff

In terms of bang-for-buck when it comes to return on investment in what we're focusing on at training, couldn't agree more.

In many ways, we'd benefit more from signing a top-end wrestling coach than another, decent, 90m/game borderline starting prop from a rival club.
While being laughed at (with good reason) I've suggested Jack Hetherington a number of times this off season. I've even tried to quantify it by saying we need to be stronger. Physically stronger. So that instead of 3-4 defenders trying to stop 1 runner is required, one or two defenders can get their man on the ground. Most posters on here look at impact runners & want that.

Give me 2-3 guys that can bring runners down without needing his 5 mates to take the legs away.

If we can't control the ruck, we can't control the game. We look weak on the field.

Plenty of movement and extensions happening around the league at the moment (Feagai to Dolphins and Curran extending at Dogs the most recent).
Super quiet on our front...but there must be some player announcements (coming and/or going) on the way over the next couple of weeks.

Don’t hold ur breath, Richo and benji might think , hunt and bird are all we need , as well as all of our very talent kids coming through, GOD help us if that’s the out come

Weird argument.

Message Board Target Kaufusi- 873.3 PCM

Message Board Villian Klemmer- 846.5 PCM

Kaufusi- 84m per game average
Klemmer- 101m per game average

Kaufusi 95.1% tackle effeciency
Klemmer 96.4% tackle effeciency

Kaufusi- 2186 run metres
Klemmer - 2023 run metres

The only areas Kaufusi is significantly superior to Klemmer is tackle breaks (36 v 15) & offloads (32 v 5)

Klemmer is guilty of not being a flashy, explosive forward. Luckily the Tigers have 2-3 of those guys in Hunt, Pole & Sione Fainu on the books.

Not sure how Kaufusi fixes what ails the Tigers in place of poor old boring Klemmer.

Maybe, but I would argue that 240% tackle breaks and 640% for Kaufusi offloads wise easily outweigh the other figures, and highlight just where our middles are lacking.

Don't want anything to do with NAS.
