@TigersBusDriver not much we could do about Papenhuyzen - we were right to do everything we could to keep Tedesco and it just didn't work out for us. I'm glad Matthew Johns was up to speed with the history of things in the Fox commentary and didn't just play the line of the Tigers letting another one get away.

I'm glad Matthew Johns was up to speed with the history of things in the Fox commentary and didn't just play the line of the Tigers letting another one get away.

Was never given a chance here. If i remember right everyone used to say he was too small for NRL. Didn't look that small tonight.

Too small at the time, and rightly so, he was still very young.

He’s worked hard and bulked up, kudos to him and our loss indeed!

@diedpretty He left here in May 2017 as an 18 year old who was tiny and stuck behind the best fullback in the game. He was too small for NRL at the time which is why Melbourne is only now blooding him in first grade 2 years later. There were people saying when he left that he was no loss and would always be too small for first grade and comparing him to Jake Mullaney though, I do remember some of that talk at the time.

That is my recollection also,unfortunately many people write off young kids who are still developing(Liddle also)
