Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

His playing footy isn't the problem.

His objecting to Benji and driving the team to crap is. .. I don't believe Benji, Heighington or Hodges will control him.

I thought we had a no Richard Head policy? It's not if he goes doing crazy XYZ that's the problem, it's that he will take a stack of Tigers team mates with him.

Although. There is one person on the team who may be able to control him. Luai, that I will give you.

Where is him not being able to be controlled coming from?

The Roosters haven’t said anything and the journalist who posted his open interview months ago has already said he didn’t leave the Roosters due to performance or issues at the club. He has also taken to shutting down the rumors on facebook as well. He certainly wasn’t the chief off field organizer of fun times at the Roosters either.

Do the maths. He doesn’t play 27 games for Robbo if he was a problem / disruptive at training or on game day especially with the stacked forward pack they had this season.

Yea true.

I looked him up and he went dry try wise at Souths.

Still Madge brought him on. Yes Madge was handed Cleary's glorious signings and pics, but he got to roll the dice with BJ and Roberts and totally fluffed it.
They were no worse signings than most of our others over the last decade. And like most of those signings, there was plenty of enthusiasm about them when they were announced.

Not too sure if people remember but I posted on here not too long ago that the club would be favourites to sign Taylan May whenever he’d be deemed registered by the NRL.

I have it on pretty good authority the club are going extremely hard for Terrell and will make it clear they have plans to potentially sign his brother too during negotiations.

MSN article on May.

“Indeed, such has been May’s rise that he played all 27 games for the Roosters this season, including an 80-minute performance at prop. If he wasn’t fully committed to rugby league, he wouldn’t have embarked on an off-season tour to England, to represent Samoa, while his wife was pregnant. He wouldn’t have been crowned the Rugby League Players’ Association inaugural impact player of the year if he wasn’t committed.”

And how someone mentioned he fits benji’s mantra of a balance between footy and life, think May could thrive here

100% he would be a massive uplift for us.

Luai will be able to assist manage both of them.

That will be a big draw card for Terrell.

As said previously by a lot of people this year we land Terrel, Kobe & Sione we would be happy.

2026 we will be huge in the market with 10 plus spots available.

Taylan can definitely have one of those.

Thanks @teddy23

What makes us favourites in the first place? Luai connection?

Disappointed me.

Thought he was a classy centre before he came to us. Once here seemed small.

Getting same feeling with Olam.

Our side still looks too small.

Technically Taylan. If is actually innocent and wrongly charged or lucky to get off. Would be able to register with a club early next season. His court hearing is in March I recall.
Yes, but...

There is a big difference between:
Innocent
and
Lucky to get off.

We should not hire "lucky to get off".

Not really, your posts are just that moronically memorable and that’s saying something on here.

You had a rant, deleted your post, and then your whole account because you were so embarrassed by your own stupidity 🤣

Right, the professional rugby league player who was paid at least hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for 10 years was stinking it up due to “football anxiety”. Sure kid, keep telling yourself that 🤣🤣🤣

Educate? You can’t even grasp basic full stops. Just quit while you’re still behind and let your two brain cells fight it out for third place.
Take the personal out of it, for a second.

Were Wests Tigers fans. We have hurt enough.

That said, "anxiety is real". Yes people are paid stupid money, but that doesn't help.

I may feel Anxious disarming a bomb. You paying me $10 Million dollars more to disarm the bomb, is not going to make me less Anxious.

You telling me the bomb is fake, will make me feel less Anxious.

We are seeing in Cronulla the same thing. Nicho Hynes is Anxious and it's effecting his onfield performance. Craig F is doing the right thing, not making changes during the finals run and keeping Nicho focused on football.

To understand Motivation: Watch this youtube from Prof: Daniel Pink. Increasing money, for complex tasks actually reduces performance. If you are shoveling dirt a pay bonus may make you work a little harder. A halfback or any complex mental task, using pay as a motivator will make it worse.

In the case Skelton turns out to be a defensive nightmare, and Turuva shows he's a winger and only a winger:

1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. May
4. Olam
5. Makasini
May?

I can still see Staines in our back line. I expect Staines to start and Makasini getting opportunities later in the year.

I suspect if Turuva fails at center, Bird will go there. Else Faataape with Olam.

This leaves one question mark, Mason?
I hope the kid pushes into the backline and demands a spot.
my back 5:
1. Bula
2. Staines
3. Turuva (which I expect to swap with Faataape/Bird after 3 games and move to the wing).
4. Olam
5. Skelton (I expect Turuva will end up here).
