Oh yeh, overtly prioritising family is a great example of political correctness.Seems like a very politically correct take

He's a proponent of balance.Who said anything about having less family orientated people in the world?
My opinion is that family is family, work is work. Benji is at press conference for work. He’s all about boundaries (ie going on holidays with family, keeping work at work etc) yet he’s bringing his family into work.
If we extend him, he'll surely be getting $500k upgrade for each of the next two seasons. If he's willing to forego an extra million dollars, he already has plan to go elsewhere.Watched Galvin interview , doesn’t seem ina. Rush to sign up , says still got a year to go so worry about football for now , , is impressed with the new signings , I would have thought he would be saying training now and will look at future early new year , still think others are out there after him on the side ( Dogs & Roosters )
I think this is the most likely team come round 1. I would probably prefer Pole or Sione starting at lock1. J. Bula
2. J. Skelton
3. J. Olam
4. S. Turuva
5. L. Laulili
6. L. Galvin
7. J. Luai
8. D. Klemmer
9. Koroisau
10. T. May
11. S. Fainu
12. A. Seyfarth
13. J. Bird
14. TDS
15. F. Pole
16. S. Fainu
17. R. Hunt
I think that is the best we can field in round 1, not a bad line up IMO. Short a good back rower. Seyfarth can do the job in the interim
Remember though, it's entirely subjective. This is your description, but others' definitions may and will differ. Both sides argue the extremes.
Seems to me Benji has more of a messaging issue than anything.
Family first doesn't mean you don't turn up early or stay late. It just means setting some boundaries around it so it doesn't consume you and your family isn't always the last thought.
A lot of the guys have turned up early to training when it was their time off. Assuming this could be family time, yet they are still there.
I actually think Benji just means being home to have dinner as a family and help around the house with chores / homework whatever before the kids go to bed.
I'm sure once the wife dozes off, he gets a few things in for the next day.
With the team we have now, half a season will tell us where we are and where the problems lie. Until then, we should enjoy what's to come.
Sounds wokeOh yeh, overtly prioritising family is a great example of political correctness.

Yep, left leaning pundits are really family orientated compared to their right-leaning, conservative counterparts.Sounds woke
No, he had off field commitments. Those commitments were over weeks ago, before Nov 1. He is now on his scheduled time off.Fair enough. I know his internatiol duties gives hime time but His manager Moses specifically said Bateman has commitments with the loan club,(off field club commitments. If we are paying his tab then he should have nothing to do with that club from Nov 1 as you said.
Rubbish, plenty of people that have seen that doco eat maccas.Indeed there are much healthier ways to bulk up, that shit will kill ya! If anyone has ever watched a video called Supersize Me they’d never go near Maccas ever again!

The bottom line, and the point I'm making, is that his his messaging about family doesn't bother me, in fact, I strongly support it, but also that it shouldnt be part of the discussion when he is judged as a coach.
Only outcome matters.
Too many people have, prematurely in my opinion, tried to draw connections between his perceived 'lack of investment' due to public endorsement of family as a priority, and our poor results in his first year.
Benji has many shortcomings as a head coach. Just as he has strengths. Hopefully, for our sake, he can and has, reflected on those shortcomings and can continue to improve in the role heading into his second official year...
..but his dedication to his family is not on the assessment list.
Wouldn’t touch smith with a 100 foot pole . Didnt she crap on us when we made her an offer ? How did the disloyal, golden apple , salary cap cheating rooster s treat you? The answer… exactly how you should of been teated! What was his quote again? “I can see myself winning a premiership in that jumper”. WHAT A TOOL!Brandon Smith for lock anyone ? When’s he due back from injury?
Geez if you put a red line through players who previously turned you down, you aren’t going to be a successful club.Wouldn’t touch smith with a 100 foot pole . Right, wasn’t aware it was Warrington he was acting on behalf of. Just assumed it was something to do with his international duties.Fair enough. Well I’ve got a gut feeling he’s coming. Will play lock . When’s he back fromGeez if you put a red line through players who previously turned you down, you aren’t going to be a successful club.
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking Doueihi might find a spot at wing. Hard to handle doesn't pass the ball chuck him on the wing and see how he goes.2025 MY BEST TEAM
1. Bula
2. Skelton
3. Olam
4. Turuva
5. LL/Doueihi/Staines (Makasini mid-season)
6. Galvin
7. Luai
8. May
9. Api (TDS round one)
10. Klemmer
11. S Fainu
12. Bateman/Seyfarth (New signing mid-season)
13. Bird
14. TDS/L Fainu
15. Hunt (for May after 30)
16. Pole (for Klemmer after 20)
17. Twal/Matamua (for Bird)
18. Sione Fainu
Latu to play 80 mins at halfback in reserves to be ready to fill in for Luai/Galvin when needed (or as no.14 when Api is injured/suspended like in round one).
Doueihi could be a smokey for wing (our very own Lomax, strong, good in the air and won’t be found out in defence as much there - potentially) until Makasini (or possibly Taylan May) comes into the team mid-season.
Crystal ball sees a slower shitter version of Corey Oates.I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking Doueihi might find a spot at wing. Hard to handle doesn't pass the ball chuck him on the wing and see how he goes.

Someone out there has a 20yo Maccas burger bun and its still in just made condition....lol.Indeed there are much healthier ways to bulk up, that shit will kill ya! If anyone has ever watched a video called Supersize Me they’d never go near Maccas ever again!
