@westy81 Vunivalu debuted in NRL against us, pretty sure he never played for us though.

Correct he and JAC debuted in the same game

Meaney couldn’t tackle a juicy kebab. I’d have Dufty over him and that’s saying something

Juicy kebabs are hard to handle. The bread gets soggy and the topping spills all over the place

@Milky Never want to see Woods anywhere near WTs again. He has dropped off and doubt he will ever be considered an elite prop again. If Madge wants big, solid, hard hitting props, then Woods wouldn't be in his scope.

Beggars can’t be choosers. If you think we have the pulling power to secure a top line prop then I commend your optimism.

@TigersBusDriver Well maybe if he knew 2 years ago what he knows now he would have stayed but everyone thought Tedesco would stay and everyone knew Slater was about to retire. If you can’t see why and how that unfolded I can’t help you.

I've watched JMK's last two games .....he has taken it to another level

Maybe we can swap Benji for JMK

I’ve always wondered just how good coaches really are. They invariably say that speed is truly desired in players so why can’t coaches improve these speedy buggers?

Euan Aitken has speed to burn but can’t tackle the same goes for Meaney. Their current coaches can’t seem to get much improvement in defense from them.

They wouldn’t cost the earth to buy but obviously Madge doesn’t think he could improve them either. I would love to have some real speedsters in the team.

I suppose my thinking is that someone at the Tigers has got Luke Brooks to tackle much better than the speed bump he was?

@Telltails What crap. Only a month into the season and we were already looking to extend him for 3 years and had begun negotiations. Then his agent did a swifty on us, lied and went behind our backs to sign him up for the Storm without even giving us a chance to negotiate. JAC was happy to stay, but no doubt his agent would have been pushing him to go.

My question about JAC - why on earth did we only sign him to a one year deal in the first place? 2 year deals for talented juniors are the norm. We allowed rivals in to swoop him up despite spotting him first. If he had a 2 year contract he'd still be playing for us now.

I think the honest answer is that nobody thought he'd become Origin-level so quickly. JAC is actually a Souths junior, picked up by Cronulla for NYC, then picked up by Tigers. He was skinny and not great at tackling, though always whip-fast.

But that's 3 clubs that were unsure about the full potential of JAC. Souths released him due to an off-field incident, but we can't say whether they were happy to release him or not.

Then he goes to work with the most successful coach and club of the last 50 years - and he comes good. The main problem here is it's very hard to look at what Storm are able to achieve with certain players and then point the finger at their previous clubs for not getting the same. It's a Storm specialty and they have a long-serving elite core roster to support that player development.

Not just JAC, venivalu was also a tiger before joining the storm so the storm has our probable 1,2,and 5

You might be thinking of Marika Koroibete as Suliasi Vinivalu has never been in our system.

I think its time we all moved on from players we lost (Our fault or not) and focus in the tread title -
"Signing Suggestions & Rumors" - Not past failures..
